    Default Sega CD Cue Maker

I came across this nifty program for the PC. However, like a few of you on here, I have a mac.

I know that .cue are .txt files renamed. I found this example on here in another thread:

Symos here is the cue file for sonic cd USA

If I were using this as a template I believe I would have to:

    1) Rename the file name to whatever mine is
    2) Rename the text file I created as .cue
    3) Select burn img and pick .cue?

This would be much easier to do on a PC than a mac, as much as I hate to admit it.

If this is not allowed on here, than I sincerely apologize. I noticed a few threads about this, and with the open dicussion of the mega cart, and support of emulators, I figured it would be ok.

Macs don't have a utility to burn CUE files unless it's with a BIN file.. Sorry, you'll need Nero and a Windows computer..

Really? I figured with Toast 8 it wouldn't be a problem, Toast 8 says as long as you add the .cue, it adds the other files and burns them accordingly.

Nice website btw, what kinda mac do you have?

I have Toast 8 Titanium and I think its compatiable.

Assuming it is, could you tell me if I have it right in terms of how to do it? Perhaps maybe you could shoot me a PM or something and I'll try it out tonight and let you know how it turns out.

The update to Toast is able to be purchased by users with 7 and I think its somewhat inexpensive, worth the purchase too.

I got Nero on my PCs, I won't need to update Toast.. Toast is just installed for atleast basic CD-ROM/DVD burning facilities..

your idea is right, but don't forget, if you have more tracks, you'll need to add lines (and the index, track information, etc), and if you have less, you'll need to remove it..

You are correct in that it will only work with a .cue file along with a bin. It does not support .cue and iso's =(

I figured that.. Roxio went down the drains when they bought out Adaptec, the ones who invented the damned thing...

Ahead Nero is the BEST you can get, supports literally almost everything...

Isn't there a cdrdao port for OSX? Does it support the full cue spec? It might take some reading, but I remember seeing a guide for burning Saturn games (in bin/cue format), so I'd expect it would work for Sega CD too.

Roxio will do BIN/CUE, but this user wants CUE/ISO/WAV burning abilities.. Roxio won't allow this...

There was a CD burning utility for OS X that was, but it used X11 and crashed all the time, and sometimes left me with NO drives working and had to reboot.. it was too buggy..

Screw Roxio. There needs to be other OS X products that will allow it. It's not the the OS isn't capable, it's just that apprently it's attracting the wrong developers.

I'd use bin/cue but most games happen to be in .iso format, its a pain to hunt em down.

    Whats this? CueMaker
