Nice! Is that Jesse Ventura game a localization of Thunder Pro Wrestling Retsuden?

The first link in my post gives a detailed description of each rom:

An unreleased game! This game was submitted for approval to SEGA but was somehow abandoned near the end of development. It is currently unknown how many prototype cartridges were given out for review/preview. The game was published by DreamWorks, and developed by the Human Creative Group.
And thanks Barone for the rep, much appreciated.

But it seems to be totally based on Thunder Pro Wrestling Retsuden, so we should be able to learn a lot about the Japanese game by using it.

Thanks for posting, I'm keen to give F1 circus a try. I would try Jesse Ventura wrestling too, but sadly I ain't got time to bleed.

Exactly. Perhaps I should have said: based on the screenshots, that Jesse Ventura game is a localization of Thunder Pro Wrestling Retsuden. But I wanted to fire up the ROMs first to compare -- something I've now done, but couldn't do while at work.

(I did read the descriptions, The Jackal; my point was that the claim about it being "an unreleased game...somehow abandoned near the end of development" is apparently incorrect.)

In any event, I see that info has now been added to the game's description page (it wasn't there before). So, nice one: we now have two three localizations we didn't have before, and one two less untranslated/unlocalized Japanese exclusives! (Curse too, but if it had any Japanese text I've forgotten it.)

Ah my bad, I apologize. 'Was just pointing out what Drx said on his site in case you missed the link, had no idea he mislabeled it.

No worries! Just wanted to clarify what I was on about. Very pleased to have another game from the Japanese library made more accessible; maybe one of our wrestling experts will review it?

Not that I remember, unless maybe it had some in the ending? (I never made it that far)

I've now played through quite a lot of F1 Circus and so far the translation looks mostly complete. There seems to be a mistake in the way that "Practice" should probably have been labelled as "Qualifying", and "Mission" should probably be "Transmission" but so far I haven't encountered any Japanese text. There also seems to be some Engrish in the names of drivers and teams, but that might just be their way of avoiding license problems.

I wanted to play the game for a while, its quite fun, but pretty damn hard too.

    *EDIT:
Having played more of it I'm now pretty sure that most of what I thought was Engrish is actually an attempt to avoid licensing issues, there is still strange text like "you failed to qualifying" though.
