    Default Pirates! Gold

Swashbuckling adventure on the high seas is what awaits you in Microprose's stellar Pirates! Gold. Probably one of the best titles on the Genesis, this is the one you show your friends when they say that PC games of the era weren't suited for consoles. Sailing the Caribbean, looting ships and swooning fair maidens is what it's all about, and no other game does it better. Read the full review, grab yourself a rapier, and forget Johnny Depp. This is the real deal folks.

I played Pirates! on C64, but the controls were to stiff there, everything was like in slow-motion. I found the gameplay interesting however. I´d love to get the MD-version, but it´s ridiculously expensive; I´d have to pay shipping to Germany too.
It is so weird that Sega did not bring it to Europe; Pirates was a very popular franchise here.

Good review - nice and long. I'm thinking I shouldn't have sold this game.

I was one of the lucky ones that found it for under $15 on Ebay.

I love this game, and will one day find my long lost sister along with my uncle and some other relatives I didn't know I had!

Still, easily the longest review we've ever had, and for good reason. What was the original draft count Glenn?

Do all mods have the authority to do that?

That wasn't my Mod talking, that was just me.

Let's get back on topic, though - Pirates! Gold.

Excellent review, Savvy?. I remember playing this at a friends house when I was a young'un, I never thought it would become such a sought after item. I might try tracking it down however at this point my mind is set on obtaining that elusive copy of Zombie Revenge

Is that elusive? Oh, I just saw it - you're in AUS. Whoops. Explains Shenmue, I guess.
