I don't know about this, but Tulio did tell me a long time ago that Pier Solar would eventually show up for the likes of Xbox Live and whatnot, or at least that was the plan back then. He didn't have any other details. I don't think he was thinking a complete overhaul back then, though.

IMO there's a problem with the logic applied to encourage the project... Brazil has lots of hardcore Mega Drive fans and so I'm not surprised that PS sold more units here than in Canada (is this really true?). But to think that Brazilian gamers will fund a HD version for PC or any "newer" platform is a different thing.
I can't ignore the fact that Zeebo became a huge fail in our market after a beginning filled with hype and good coverage in several sites... Different products but the same market...

I hope it can go well, but I really think that we'll be talking about another fail in the near future. People will want to download it and play, but from some torrent.
