I was just perusing Watermelon's shitty forum and I saw this:
What every person with more than 3 brain cells already knew and Watermelon vehemently denied is finally revealed. The original CDs were shit not because the Sega CD was so old, but because the CDs themselves were shit. They've been "fixed" now. Bottom line: Don't trust a god damn thing these morons say because they WILL lie to you.

That's a heck of a slip. That whole situation was such a shit show. Had I actually owned a Sega CD I would have been really, really disappointed. I'm surprised people were so tolerant of it ultimately.

I beleive that the reason why the most members did not really have that big of a concern with the game's CD issue is because there was an easy fix: one could download and burn the game's music content onto a CD and play the game. Personally, if this option was not given, it would have been a big issue. As a consumer I was personally fine with that option.

There is a big difference between maintaining one's moral compass in business and that which operates in one's personal life. In business, the reality is that if you are not willing to crush your competitor, you might as well get out of the game while you're still ahead.
