Game Gear Post your GG collection.

Oh, come on, guys, don't be shy: only our pal Scooter dared to post his own collection here.

Big or small, a GG collection is something to be proud of. So, why don't list it here? I'll post mine in an hour.

    OK, here it goes:

    -- Software --

    - Sonic The Hedgehog
    - Wonder Boy
    - Prince Of Persia
    - Space Harrier
    - Super Golf
    - Sonic Chaos
    - Sonic Spinball
    - Ren & Stimpy: Quest For The Shaven Yak

    This was my original collection.

    Bought later, as an adult:

    - Donald Duck: Lucky Dime Caper
    - The Chessmaster
    - Spider-Man
    - Woody Pop
    - Psychic World
    - Columns (came with my new GG)
    - Olympic Gold (came with my new GG)
    - Super Kick-Off
    - SMS Alien Syndrome (included because I don't have an actual SMS but an adapter)

    -- Hardware and peripherals --

    - Working refurbished GG
    - Non-working GG, considering to sell it for pieces.
    - Official Sega screen magnifier
    - TV Tuner (came with my new GG. Still gets some radio stations)
    - Master Gear Adapter (bought on a fit of collecting. Probably will sell it when I buy GG Everdrive)

I had a lot of fun collecting Game Gear back in the 00's, most of these were really cheap. I bought Panzer Dragoon Mini brand new for $60 sometime around 2002-2004, sadly the dummy shipped it to me in a bubble envelope and the box got crushed. Finding various colored Game Gear units for a good price was a lot of fun too. The Kids Gear systems were hard to find any info on for many years. I'm forever kicking myself for passing on a mint yellow unit (gota love those green buttons!) which included a bootleg cart with lots of early Master System games on it. The powder blue console is my favorite, the light blue acts as a great nuetral bordering color for the screen. The first powder blue unit I found came in a lot with a bunch of loose games ...one of which was a simple but charming shmup which I couldn't find any info on - year's later I now know it is Magical Taruruto-kun - it took me a long time to find one CIB. Zenki was another loose game in that lot, and what a surprise there was no info about that game on the internet at the time, I've thought it was one of the coolest Game Gear games I've played. The Tails games are pretty cool, and stuff like Chicago Syndicate and Arena Maze of Death often get overlooked. Of course the GG Shinobi games are like the must own titles for the platform!

Sooner than later I'm going to sell all this I think. anyone want to make an offer on the lot? :P

Which is I think is about 65 out of the list of 234 total releases. Game Gear is one I've been looking into a bit more recently personally and may try and go for a loose cart set eventually. It still seems pretty reasonable to get done, I've also got some JP games as well but not a ton.

    This is going from memory of what I had in the 90s;

    - Sonic Chaos
    - Mortal Kombat
    - Mortal Kombat 2
    - NBA Jam
    - X-Men
    - Aladdin (biggest purchase regret of my childhood by a long shot. Played and beat it right away on first attempt and never felt like playing it again since - goodbye $60)

^Thanks man. Yeah, somewhere around there. There's only 233 total. I'll prob finish that library first, since I'm shooting for loose with plastic sleeve.

Granted, I didn't get Aladdin for $60 on the GG; but I found it to be a very pleasant surprise. It was a completely new game in the vein of Prince of Persia, and with the most cutscenes I've ever seen on an 8-bit handheld. Graphics are great also, with amazing parallax 3D like scrolling like Mickey Mania on the Genesis. I didn't mind it either that I also beat it on my first try. The game was super long and fun to play; again, like a friendlier version of Prince of Persia. Loved it.

Because I saw Sonic 1 sitting in a second-hand shop and picked it up purely on whim. I don't even have a Game Gear, never seen one irl. I started a small Master System collection instead and focused on that tbh.

I do want one though, and I'm looking to start a collection for it. Just never got around to it as of yet.

I'm going for loose as well. Almost anything with cardboard involved is loose only by default for me (except I guess the 32X and Pico), been while since I've hunted around for anything though. It's hard for me to want to get individual GG stuff online, but I so rarely see stuff locally either.
