Default Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Sometimes, it's good to take a break from all the great shmups, platformers, and run-'n-guns on the Genesis. Occasionally a nice, laid back type of game hits the spots. Those who remember computer lab in junior high already know which game I'm talking about, and everyone else would do themselves a favor and check out Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, which spawned a lengthy series of edutainment games, as well as a cartoon series. We've a full review for you, so grab your magnifying glass and passport, and get ready to do some sleuthing!

I'm sort of surprised anyone would WANT to play this game anymore, even if it is in theory a good offering.

I recently switched to mac, and although I love it, games run slightly less than stellar on it. So I was emulating DOS running old games I used to play when I was a kid, and came across this game again.

Granted, I'm not 7 anymore, but the game is alot of fun, and hopefully if I take good enough care of my system, it'll be around for my kids to enjoy. This is actually a review for both children and adult alike

And I still haven't caught Carmen Sandiego yet =)

    PS

I assure you it is LEAPS and BOUNDS better than Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. I am wiriting features and other reviews simply because I hate this game so much. Ugh.

Wonderful review. Wonderful game. Wonderful trip down memory lane.

I suppose this is another game that has countless numbers of ports, not to mention spinoffs.

I remember renting the SMS version of this by 3rd Party Parker Brothers. I probably rented the Genesis version as well, but I remember the SMS version far more.

If you Mac is being pissy with games, you need a new video card. If you have an iMac or whatnot, you can't change videocards. The videocard in my Mac Pro needs changing if I ever want to use it for games, which I really don't.

That made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I loved this game. We too had it on our computers at school, though I knew of the TV show a while before I even knew it was a video game. I never got it for Genesis, but now I really have a craving to.
