Having the analog sticks right next to each Sony style over Microsoft style is a very bad move if you ask me. And how can it be all in one without the PS4 touch screen?

Of all the things that were never going to happen, this leads the pack.

I'd back a Saturn pad clone that plugs into all 8 and 16-bit consoles.

I'm glad this image clearly indicates what portion of it is the gaming controller. I would have totally been lost with that vital information

I guess I'll go ahead and be Mr. Negative Cynic here.

Getting the controller to work on many systems is ambitious, but not impossible. I'm sure each console has a different communication protocol that they would have to implement. Consoles have tons of 3rd party controllers available though, so I'm sure it can be done. It just seems like a lot of work getting everything working with one device.

My biggest issue is their campaign. It just doesn't instil a lot of confidence. The video wasn't professional and didn't show off their controller, design team, technology, or plans at all. Just junk about e-ink and a joke about Bill Nye. The way everything is written makes it seem like this is one person trying to put all this together. Marketing, design, programming, manufacture, sales, etc.

    Under risks and challenges:
The only real risk is failing but I don't see that happening and even when you "fail" the only real failure is not learning anything from the experience.
It makes it sound as if they don't even expect to fund their project or put out a final product. I understand that learning from past mistakes is important, but they really need to have something functional before they put out a campaign asking for people's money.

Another issue I have is funding on indygogo. Not that I have an issue with the site, but they don't require a functioning prototype like kickstarted does.

Also, while typing this I noticed that the fundraiser is closed and the expected ship dates say December 2016.

They went on Kickstarter first, and have sent some preview units out to journalists. Point taken about the ad campaign though.

I was equally suspicious about that indiegogo page, but apparently they had a successful Kickstarter:

    https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...y-customizable

No idea why OP is linking to the failed indiegogo.

That kickstarter looks way more fleshed out and well done. Why link to the Indygogo page in the original post? Are these even the same product, or just similar ones?

I didn't watch the video this time, but the kickstarter page looks very interesting at a first glance. Hopefully it turns out well, because universal controller would be a cool product.

Is it failed? I linked to it as I thought it was active? It says May 2018 will be the delivery date. I placed my order with no trouble after the Kickstarter would accept none further...

EDIT - Oops! That's the wrong link... I'll change it now (*facepalms*). We've been at crossed purposes the whole thread!
