BB crew has twitted that they will make a Genesis/MD rom available when they dispatch the first batch of cartridges to customers. It will happen before a launch day for modern hardware which is October 28th.
Also they have plans to release a Neo Geo rom in the future.

Mike of BB posted this on kickstarter.

'We're actually going to be making the ROM available as soon as we start shipping the first batch of Mega Drive / Genesis copies - we could potentially make it available now but this will of course mean that the game would likely make its way into the hands of pirates and distributed far and wide even before anyone has received their physical copy, which would be pretty disheartening for us.

On top of that, we've also seen poorly pirated physical copies of Tanglewood (another recently developed Mega Drive game) appear on the market, and again, it really wouldn't be great if that was to happen before we'd got the game in most people's hands. So yes, for now we're concentrating on the manufacturing phase, and it shouldn't be too much longer before you can finally play the game. '

I've backed Xeno Crisis for the rom and I also bought a Steam copy of Tanglewood for the rom. I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that some scumbag pirated the game or the fact that there are idiots out there who are stupid enough to buy pirate copies of either game.

But as I've said before, pirates are gonna pirate. But I'm glad that Xeno Crisis is finished and I'm looking forward to playing it. Everything I've seen of it so far looks impressive.

I realized I never filled out my backer survey. I just email them to ask if I screwed myself. I just couldn't decide between the JP and US version!

Thanks for the link, I'm always keen to read about his work. Nice to see that Flink has that special place, as well as how much he loves to work with the Mega Drive, and Metal Slug graphics. Makes me wish he gets to do commissioned work in the future for a run'n'gun on the Mega Drive even more.

Now that the Sega MD is readily available, could a MD+ version of Xeno Crisis be a possibility? Having an arranged soundtrack for both the Genesis & the Neo Geo CD (the ones that I ordered) would be amazing.
