Holy carp this is awesome! Thank you! I'll be following along for sure.

I've had an extremely hard time getting help with setting up an IDE over the years. This looks like a great start!
    I'm a PEEK'er. I'm a POKE'er. And I'm a midnight coder. I type my programs and hit RUN.

Awesome video about the sound drivers, though it would have been nice to have seen the other available drivers (that aren't included in SGDK) mentioned, like Sik's Echo or Markey Jester's Dual PCM driver. Would be cool if they end up integrated to SGDK at some point.

Would that I could compose music, and had months to study code
But my time is not long, I am not gifted with song, on this destiny road
These tutorials are of great import, and may be considered essential
For it appears to me, with your pedigree, the quality is self-evidential.

Echo already runs in SGDK if you take the C source code and build it (maybe just outright include it with the rest of the game's files).

It would be nice to get full support out of the box Sik. Have you asked if Stef would include it? It would be a nice addition.

Cool videos, I wish these had existed before I had my rather embarrassing meltdown in the SGDK thread (I'm not doing a very good job of making myself look sane sometimes).

The vids really give me motivation to get back onto converting an old game that I wrote for Windows, thanks for making them. It good to finally see content like that on youtube.

...just download the files and include them (though stdint.h was finally added to SGDK only because echo.c wants it)

A bigger issue would be the tools, but that's a piece of crap regardless of whether it's SGDK or not. That one is entirely my fault for not releasing proper composition tools though (no, mml2esf isn't proper since you can't preview what you're composing).

Yeah that's okay for me but not everyone is up to speed on how to do that. I guess the composer is the biggest issue though
