Default Galactic Revenge - A NEW game for the Master System

    Hey guys!

It's my pleasure to share that Enrique Ruiz (MikGames) has released a brand new game for the SMS as his entry for the SMS Power Coding competition 2018.

    Thread here: http://www.smspower.org/Homebrew/GalacticRevenge-SMS

The gameplay is inspired by Gremlins 2, which is one of the devs childhood favorites. It's one of those short but tough action games that many of us grew up with.

The artwork was done by Richard Morgan, who is not just a talented artist, but has his own awesome 16-bit style shmup on iOS which is also definitely worth checking out.

    Link: https://starsceptre.wordpress.com/

I was lucky enough to work with these two talented guys, and created two box covers.

    The story in a nutshell:

It's the year 33XXX. Dirty aliens from a faraway galaxy emptied your refrigerator and killed your boyfriend. Confident in their superiority, they also had the nerve to steal your beloved Master System.

    NOW THEY'VE GONE TOO FAR...

You are Olivia Gun. Get your blastin' shoes on and pick from three killer outfits. Wield fire, spread shots, lasers, and even shurikens.

Wipe the grins off their faces as you jump, shoot, and fight your way through their ship and turn them into scrap as payback for their heinous deeds!

^It's a free-to-play ROM download. No physical release planned, but afaik, no one with the capacity to make quality carts has reached out to him yet.

He's also released two other games recently:

Silver Valley - A Castlevania-ish sidescroller that's tough but fun. (I also created a cover for this one)
Astro Force - An 8-bit shmup that I found to be a blend of Zanac & Crisis Force.

    Those are also free-to-play.

All of these games look impressive. The creators should crowd fund making these physical releases.

This game blows the competition away. Wow. Was this an original coding, and not a hack?

^He coded it himself, and I got to play the game from when it was literally just an intro level without enemies to the current build.

I am hoping that someone that can make professional quality carts does reach out to him. If it comes to that, I'd be happy to make another cover for Astro Force.

Richard Morgan rendered what the Classic SMS style box would look like, and I think it looks fantastic. (If I may say so myself)

Oh it's the same guy? I'be been trying to get him to come to my channel for an interview, but he's never returned any of my messages xD
