    I'm not sure if everyone is understanding what I was saying about running and attacks in VF2.

    What I'm saying is that if you run, and then do a normal attack (like a simple punch), apparently the running will add more damage to that normal punch.

    Apparently this is new in VF2, and I'd assume it continues for the rest of the series.

    It's kind of subtle (since I don't think anyone can really notice the difference in damage) but it is a cool idea. If two players are using the same moves, but one adds running, then his same attacks will deal more damage and he will win.

    My bad, I think I see what you are saying now. I did assume that running then punching or kicking also did extra damage but I have never tested it. I always assumed it worked in VF1 and FV, also. I think it should be easy enough to try but I'll have to wait for shore power for my TV set.

    Fighting Vipers specifically added running attacks. VF1 and 2 did not have them. But I don't know if attacks executed after running do more damage or not in VF1/2.

    A bit of of the topic but in Virtua Fighter Kids, there is a dodge move..the CPU loves it...
