Yeah, Alien takes a lot form the film Planet of the Vampires. Esp the bit where they go in the ship with the giant dead aliens.

Precisely. Another major influence for Alien is the film, It! The Terror from Beyond Space. Nothing is truly original, but that doesn't mean it has nothing to say.

Well, you've at least got to respect their love for the franchise and the genre...

No Skate (ok, he'd be too old given the timeskip, but he had some of the most fun moves in SOR2)
No Zan either

I am conflicted about this lineup; Adam and Axel look like they feel the same, and the hipster chick doesn't look as fun to use as Skate was.
May have to wait until the DLCs I guess.

Still hell pretty meh about this whole thing. I'm a die hard for the original games, even the Game Gear / Master System ports, but this game...I just don't know. I'll give it a shot, but something just feels wrong with the whole thing beginning with the art style, continuing with the possibility of being nickeled and dimed by DLC, or using the game to push an agenda, when the game was always about taking down some new form of Mr. X while having fun bashing barrels and eating plated turkeys. I'm cautiously awaiting to see what this is to understand what SOR4 means.
