    Genesis 8Bitdo Wireless Genesis controllers!!!

These have yet to be officially announced yet, but you can preorder them now. These use 2.4G instead of Bluetooth, come in both Black and White finish and are only $24.99. I'm pretty sure we will get an Analogue Genesis announcement sometime this month as well.

Very cool! So weird they haven't said anything on their social media.

    Many thanks for this info!
8bitdo produces very good (and yet affordable) products. I'll go for one of these for sure!

I'll wait for a true replica made by 8bitdo. Although it won't happen until next year, if it ever happens (retrobit has the license now).

This would have been far more exciting if Krikzz didn't already have an amazing option available. What I will definitely get is a bluetooth retro receiver that will allow me to use my wireless arcade stick in addition to other controllers that my friends might feel more comfortable with.

Well, krikzz's controller is $70, IIRC.

The white one looks pretty awesome. So 2.4G is better than bluetooth?

It's cheaper and works just as fine, as far as I know. If you want to connect to just one device (the receiver in this case), it's a smart choice.

Really wish it had been bluetooth. I have the 8bitdo retro kit installed in a genesis 6 button controller already and would prefer to use that. Hopefully they will release a bluetooth receiver. That said, I preordered the 2.4ghz controller along with the mega sg. $24 is a no brainer.

I guess they'll make it eventually. And for the Mega Drive mini too, when the connector is announced.

I have the 8bitdo SNES30 and NES30 bluetooth joysticks and I thought they were amazing... and they are pretty good but after a while I did start to notice a very small amount of input lag. I have my SNES and NES hooked up to a CRT TV so it's not the TV that's introducing the lag. The lag is small but enough to cause trouble (for me) when you're seriously playing.

Later I picked up the Krikzz joyzz for the Genesis and it's truly excellent. I have noticed no input lag and it's my fav joystick.

So yes, for me personally I really prefer 2.4G over Bluetooth when playing on old retro consoles.

Maybe these Bluetooth joysticks are good for use on the Switch or your Android or whatever modern hardware?

Now, if the 8bitdo m30 is as good as the joyzz then that could be real trouble for Krikzz. The price difference is huge.

I pre-ordered mine the other day, this and the receiver. Looking forward to it.

The 8Bitdo M30 page says the gamepad is Bluetooth.
Following the Amazon links on the 8Bitdo page, they're priced higher than the ones linked in this thread, though ($24.99 vs $29.99). It's unlikely that there are 2.4G and Bluetooth versions, no? I assume they're all Bluetooth after all.

Both bluetooth and 2.4G will be available to buy.
    You can preorder both today.

Bluetooth is to use in PC with emulators i.e.

2.4G comes with receiver dongle to put in original megadrive/genesis, not PC.
