But stuff like the 512 colors screen in Overdrive would be easier to exploit, for example (OK, that one eats into the sprite limits, but the Mega CD has the ASIC to render into a framebuffer too…).

    In practice there isn't much that has been exploited anyway, so whatever.
    Dunno where I got 256 from its 512 in direct colour DMA! Doh! My apologies for stating something wrong for goodness knows how long! I even say 512 in my video 🤣
