    Default Clue

Some board games translate well to video game format, such as Clue. Being able to play such a classic without having spread out all those tiny pieces and board over a table is a great thing, and the multi-player fun has been maintained intact. Parker Brothers has a long history of converting its traditional line up to digital format, and this is one of their better efforts. Read our full review, and get ready to have some fun with the famous murder mystery!

A long time ago, Cluedo was a tv series at TV4 starring famous super-star Martin Timell. That is all I have to say.

Every time I see pics of this game, I think it must be a Sega CD title that incorporates a bunch of FMV. I mean just look at it. Doesn't it scream "Sega CD FMV game", only without the FMV?

The scenes in this are really pretty good considering they're not FMV. Quite enjoyable to play if you have the time =)

I really, really didn't like the Genesis version of Clue. I thought it was really awkward with no checklist or virtual notebook or anything. You had to write it out by hand! Almost defeats the purpose of it being a video game.

Definitely not as good as Risk.

I dont see how there could be a virtual checklist for 6 people. One person or two yes, but 6 would be complicated. Printing out the checklists is a easy as a trip to google, and the game itself has great graphics and plays quite smoothly. If you're into Clue, this is a great translation. Games list Risk, an RTS game essentially, is much easier to translate as game like that has already existed before. Clue is a different genre of board game, and is much more difficult to represent sucessfully.

Its simply another way to play a classic game, like Clue DVD for example.

I don't see how it would be that complicated. It's no more complicated than Monopoly keeping track of each person's properties and etc.

The Google thing seems like a cop-out excuse, seeing as the game was released in the early 90s.

Thats very true with the Google part, although I'm reviewing this now, not in 1992. I probably would be a bit more confused then with what to do.

The game didnt get a good score because of how it keeps track of suspects, weapons, and rooms, heck that annoyed me. It got a good score because it represents the game perfectly, has great visuals, and if you really like Clue, is a blast to play. Sure, you have to pay attention more than in a traditional game of Clue, but Clue has always been a game that requires you to be aware of your opponents.

The game is set up in such a way that it could be played without a checklist, as cards are not revealed, only statements are. However the checklist makes it much more helpful. I would not be suprised if the game itself came with checklists. My complete copy didnt, but theres no suprise there. Clue has always been a game with requires you to give your full attention, this version is no different. You will not run all over the A.I in this game, nor will they run all over you. You must be observant, make careful suggestions, and use stragedy, just like in Clue.

This game just felt like Clue to me. I was really taken with the game for its gameplay, atmosphere, and ability to re-create a Genesis version of Clue which was convincing, stood up to the original, and could be enjoyed by 6 people. Thats definatly a challange in and of itself.

Alright, fair enough... You've gone above and beyond in defending your review. Kudos.

But I still don't like it.
