Has there been any news regarding the translation of the Mega Cd game Shadowrun? Been wanting to play this!

There don't seem to have been any updates for over two years. Last I knew, the team said they're still working on it in principle, but had turned to other projects until various showstopping bugs were resolved.

That was 2+ years ago, and I know of no updates since then. So, not an abandoned project, and the hacker has publicly vowed that it will never be canceled, which is great...

...but it has been seven years since the Shadowrun Mega CD translation was announced, so it's understandable that people get confused impressions about the project's status. Seven years is a long time.

Join the Club. The Mega CD version is 'said' to be the best. TBH I've given up hope this project will ever be finished. I so wished for 3X3 translation too on the Mega CD.

I had waited a while for the rent-a-hero translation. The guy was committed to seeing it complete, though from what I remember he disappeared and the project was taken over and eventually finished.

Someone has posted a let’s play on YouTube where they translate the game as they play through. With a few videos running several hours each, you’ll need a lot of time to get through it.
