    Default Help with retroelectronik.com

A month ago I bought a lot of PCB's at http://retroelectronik.com for the indication of some people who produce games on the internet.
I was looking for quality material to do some Repro of my projects for myself and some friends.

This week the package arrived and unfortunately what I received were plates of poor quality, unplated, and maybe with worng pine placing.

I tried to contact the seller to perform the product exchange, or to resend the order because I want my money back if they do not have the product I ordered. But the same does not answer me,
it is impossible to call via telephone because I do not speak French.

I would like to help you spread this message, many from here are from france and can have an easier contact with suppliers.
For me who live in Brazil, it was a lot of money invested to receive PCBs of cheap quality that the Chinese sells for much less around the world.

    Thank you for your help.

    Ouch! Looks bad.

I've always liked the PCBs at Second Dimension:

Are the PCBs they delivered actually shorter than a normal Gen/MD cart?

Looking at the picture, it doesn't look compatible. Like the pins wouldn't even line up and maybe even cause damage if you tried to plug it in to a console.

Is there an e-mail or live chat option? Maybe you could get by just using google translate or something.

I tried to get in touch with them again, because after all it's been days and no contact. So it was that I realized that whoever answered me the first time was a bot, and the response was automated. Anyway, let's start another week and no answer from them ..

gold plated pcbs are generally more expensive. from time to time some manufacturer offer some discount. the best thing to do is just check for the cheaper one and print the boards by themself.

I can actually come to the conclusion that I was misled and the company intentionally tried to sell me an inferior product than advertised. Another week without an answer, I'm sending errands and emails daily. Alert your friends never to buy in retroelectronik.com / r2tronik.com it really is an unreliable and unfriendly practices with the consumer.
