The Street Fighter II rerelease on SNES had a fire hazard warning and it turned out to just be overly paranoid lawyers (the board itself turned out to be OK without any of the ugly bullshit we sometimes see).

Yeah, that wasn't the best move on their part. To my knowledge, legal disclaimers that attempt to shift liability aren't legally binding or a bulletproof solution for anything in many places. Probably better to state something like "We use the highest quality parts and adhere to the strictest standards for original hardware, but can't guarantee 100% operation with decades old aging hardware or clone systems." on the manual or back of the box.

The cart should have the usual cautionary stuff on the back of the plastic clamshell.

Then again, I'm no lawyer, so what do I know?

People don't seem to be thrilled with the quality of Columbus Circle's Gleylancer.
I wonder if this Ultracore will be any better.

At least there's a much higher chance to get a cartridge from that than with the SLG release, and that's considering how much of a mess Gley Lancer turned out to be :P (although some time ago they did state in a tweet that the preorder requests had gone out of control and caused that mess, so I guess they had indeed run out of copies that quickly…)

With the Columbus Circles Ultracore being shipped already, are there any news of the ones from Strictly Limited Games?

Well...I got an email notification regarding shipping delays with SLG releases... here a link to the message via web:

    https://mailchi.mp/strictlylimitedga...3?e=95dead9fb6

    So to summarize it:

They purchased or leased a new warehouse space to help facilitate assembling the orders. But the moving process to do this is meeting challenges and the space still isn't setup for them to do this yet. So they are back to shipping from their private residences and this has caused additional delays they weren't expecting?

Why would you schedule to move your shipping/assembly in the middle of when you have notable games being released? Why not just wait until after in this case?

They probably thought it'd be faster and make things easier and it turned out to backfire.

I just ordered one of those from play asia, planning to play it on a US Genesis. Is this version 50 or 60 hertz?

I originally had the game on my Mega SG, I haven't used the system very much bc I've been busy lately, but when I fired it up recently I couldn't find the ultra core rom on there anymore. I was somewhat drunk when I 1st fired on the mega sg and I'm worried I might have somehow deleted it (?!).

I'm still not used to the menu system etc so maybe it is still on there but all I really see when I power it on is options to run a cartridge or enter codes so idk what the deal is.

But this version Play Asia is selling is the Columbus Circle version of the game right so it should have some in game fixes as far as platforms to reach certain things etc right?
