Genesis Kickstarter - Tanglewood Full Sized Poster

    Hi all,

I've created my first crowdfunding campaign and I'm hoping that some of you here might be interested.

Celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Tanglewood the video game with a full sized (24"x36") colour poster.

    Live on Kickstarter Now!

Even if there no space on your game room walls for an awesome poster, anywhere you'd be willing to share this news would be a great help to me. And greatly appreciated.

Make no mistake; this is a shameless self promotion.

This Tanglewood Poster is licensed by Matt Philips of Big Evil Corporation.

This Kickstarter Campaign will run from August 15th until September 15th 2019.

Interested, one sided? Would be a nice addition to a future games room. Will it come rolled up or folded? Rolled up would be awesome, could block-mount it even.

Edit: You've probably already answered it on KS but I skimmed through

    Hey Shifted!

    Man, these are good questions.

Yes, it's a one sided poster.
And yes it will be rolled and mailed in a sturdy cardboard shipping tube ensuring safe transport. The poster will not be creased or folded.

I already have one on the wall and I had it plaque mounted and honestly, it's look so great. (biased I know)

    Hey all,

My Tanglewood Poster Kickstarter is in trouble.

I'd love to get some feedback. Any comments/criticisms are welcome. Be brutally honest.

How's the price of the poster at $25 CAD plus shipping?
Are you guys just not interested in a poster for your wall?
What's missing to make this something you'd want?

Of course, I agree, the game is the main event and if a poster is just not your thing that is OK.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I can't tell you how great it felt to get a nice tweet from My Life in Gaming supporting the Tanglewood Poster.

These guys are really amazing for the retro gaming community.

    Thanks MLiG! So nice!

I wish you luck with the Kickstarter, but it's a hard sell for just a poster in my opinion.

Maybe it's possible for BigEvil to pre-sell you X number of carts at a discount and do a combo package with some games sitting in North America to save on shipping costs? International shipping is always a deal killer for me.

    Thanks xelement5x! I appreciate it

Shipping is a real problem. The prices I found were by far the best available for the quantities involved. Shipping tubes come with a premium cost because of their shape.

I was hoping that a low price tag for high quality poster would help off-set the the shipping. And the fact that all prices on the Kickstarter are in Canadian Dollars. That's a big saving for USA and UK backers.

And even though this Poster has Matt's backing it wasn't meant to create work for him. I was hoping it would be a boon to both Matt and Luis.

As for a cart/poster combo, it's a good idea but I wanted to keep my first Kickstarter as simple as possible. Keeping the focus on one item that I can completely manage on my own.

I can't fault anyone for not jumping onboard. Our money is hard earned. But I did think I would be able to find 100 people who wanted it.

I'm still hopeful that my continued ads will find people excited about the poster. Everything I've been posting has been getting a lot of views. Which is gratifying. If nothing else I do feel like I've been getting the word out.

I've got to work on my 'call to action' skills!
