Default WTB: Duke Nukem 3D for the Megadrive. Yep, now I'm making a bazaar thread about it...

Well, since it's getting stupid the amount of time I am spending NOT getting it, I have a thread up.

I don't mind if it's in it's box with manual, without manual, without both box and manual. I simply want the game. Any reasonable prices will be considered.

Honestly, it's been that long in the hunting, I just want to get it.

And I might have dealt with him in the past. If I recall, he HATES Paypal with a passion. >_>

He's worth a go at least. I'll give him a PM. If he won't take paypal, then it'll have to be a no-go. It's £45 even BEFORE p&p however...

Damn, I didn't know he hates Paypal. What is wrong with it? It is awesome. What else can a Swede pay with?

I think when I asked him, he said he 'didn't trust it' and it 'wasn't secure' and blah blah blah...

...Yeah. So if he does that again, he can kiss goodbye my money.

Paypal is great for buyers, but not no wonderful for sellers because of all the fees they charge, UK paypal for instance charge 3.4% of the value, plus 20p, and another charge to convert currencies, and if you want it put in your bank account thats another charge again. When your bank will let you put money into your account form a cheque or tranfer for free, giving paypal a slice of your money for doing essentially the same thing is pretty annoying. And while the charges don't sound much, they do add up.

Also some people are nervous about using paypal because of their bad practices, giving them access to your bank account can lead to problems. A buyer can pretend they never recieved their item, and paypal can freeze your account with all the money stuck in it unavaliable, and can just take money from your bank account to refund.

Sadly doing a transfer from your bank to his bank account will be expensive, UK banks charge silly amounts to do them between countries/currencies. Although it might be worth checking with them incase they do only charge a small fee.

I think those fees are next to nothing compared to the high bids PayPal users can offer. I asked a guy who had Gleylancer for sale if he took PayPal. He didn't, so there he losses a high bid and the game might sell for much less, which makes him lose money in an invincible way.

Yeah on ebay you really should give people the option of paying with paypal or you'll be losing out on a lot of potential bids. Still its annoying when you add up all the fees, the auctions fees combined with paypal fees do add up, often about 10%
Outside of ebay its best to try an get cheques or bank transfers off people instead if you can.

    *sigh*

...He takes everything EXCEPT Paypal. >_< I do not trust a random forum user with anything but that.

It would have been nice to get his copy of Duke Nukem off him, but I can't take the risk of not using Paypal.

Right, so that deal obviously fell through badly. The brazilian eBay one never happened since he doesn't ship outside of brazil. I am trying to get ahold of another copy but I don't think he's going to sell.

There's now another Duke Nukem 3D cart on the brazil eBay, but I can't understand a word of protugeuse and my friend who tried to get the first one had her account suspended because apparently they couldn't validate her phone number...

This so far does not bode well.
