    Default Megadrive/Genesis reproductions

I've been able to make megadrive carts of unreleased games for quite a while now, first I just did some for myself, then some friends asked me to make them games they wanted, and a couple of people on forums have asked me to make other games. And now there are currently nine different games that I have/can make, all with their own inserts, cart stickers and manuals.

I have previously made unreleased games for Master System, and produced them for fans of the system that I know. So I thought it was about time I offered megadrive unreleased games to megadrive fans. Below is a link to a little website I've put together to show what games i can do:

    http://www.playgeneration.com

Any questions feel free to ask, and if you would like any of the games, please PM me on the forum, thanks.

I saw this link a while back but didn't really investigate too closely. You've got something interesting here, and I'll probably drop you a PM soon. How much more would it cost me if I wanted a game that you don't normally produce?

Providing theres no extra materials cost involved with the game you want, then its the same price. Some of the games I've done I only made on the request of one person, such as Beneath The Clouds.

I like to think I've picked the best unreleased games to do so far, there are others such as Fido Dido, Ninja Gaiden, Waterworld etc that I haven't bothered with as yet because I wasn't overlly impressed with their gameplay. But if anyone wants such games then I'll look into it.

Theres a LOT of games that didn't get a release, I've done quite a lot of research on it and found many more than I first thought there was. I've compiled a list for a rival megadrive site I visit:

Its a shame more of them haven't been found yet.

And if you check out the forum, you'll discover a newly discovered unreleased MegaCD game you can download - Timecop

So you don't do commercial games?

You mean make copies of rare games that were released like Alien Soldier?, no I don't do those as I think it would be unfair to those people who own the real ones.

What if I provided you with the .bin image of a program I wrote?

You'd have to pad it though, my bin files are of odd sizes.

Yep that can be done. I can put peoples homebrew software on carts, providing you've programmed it so it actually works on a real system and not just an emulator - emulators can be a lot less fussy about code. And it won't be reproduced for anyone but yourself if thats what you want.

    Hmm, actually, I was thinking.

On my site, I have freeware software I wrote (in signature), if you want to publish those, you have my permission to use "GenTimer". I would release a modified version of it with a newer copyright, and a small change to the title-screen.

Only thing i'd ask is a small % of the profit.. If you want, we can work something out in a private PM.

Are the carts "homemade", you make the board, solder things in place, flash a ROM on it ? Or there's something more fancy going on ?

Too bad the version I would allow won't be the same.

Anyone who doesn't want an Egg Timer?

I use it all the time actually. Of course I release the .bin free, so anyone with a flash cart could use it already.

Hey playgen, I know an unreleased game that is missing from your list:
Lobo, based on the DC Comics-bastich! It was said to be a beat´em up with pre-rendered graphics; I never found a ROM though.

Thanks, I think I heard the title before but must have forgotten to look into it. Its now on the list. If anyone else knows of any unreleased games I've not yet added let me know.
