Both the CD and cart releases of EC are far more playable than any of the original editions of MK on any platform. More moves, better animation, slicker controls and presentation, etcetera. Technically, EC on Genesis is very impressive, as it has some of the most fluid animation (possibly the best) I've ever seen in a fighter on the system.

Yeah, you're right about that. It was tough.

Other things EC had: a ton of extra training modes and pretty much full control over duels. Also gory, cinematic fatalities, and several good music compositions as opposed to MKs blah-ness.

Has anybody said it was? I thought all that was said was that Eternal Champions was better than Mortal Kombat. Since Mortal Kombat is abject tosh then even the mediocare Eternal Champions is superior.

99% of the people who owned a Genesis during 1993/1994 would have told you one thing; MK1/2 is way better than EC and MK can actually be fun.

I admit that as a sprog I got excited by the Mortal Kombat hype and played it quite a lot. As an adult, however, and with a more intelligent mindset than "blood is cool" (Blood is cool if spoken from a FPS perspective and not a crappy graphics one) I can see that Eternal Champions is far superior, more fluid, better animations and a good 2-player mode. That being said, Super Street Fighter 2 is the pinnacle and both Eternal Champions and Mortal Kombat are crap. I have never played Advanced Daisenryaku so I cannot comment whether Hitler is better than Eternal Champions.

Blade vs Jax, Blade would bust his mutha funkin ass boie. Trident is the baddest mutha on the planet! He can freeze you like sub zero or slow you down a little bit to make it more enjoyable for him when he chops you up. The only person who can mess with him is that king tut dude, cuz hes nasty.
