    Default Pac-Mania

One of the few video game icons that always finds a way to reinvent himself, Pac-Man has done just about everything but grab a gun and fight terrorists (I think that one's coming to consoles soon). Namco has always endeavored to bring its hungry yellow mascot to new fans, with the most recent attempt being the simple yet incredible Pac-Man Championship Edition on Xbox Live Arcade. One other incarnation that benefited immensely from a simple gameplay addition was Pac-Mania, which simply altered the gameplay perspective and added a jump button. The result was an arcade hit that was ported to about forty billion systems the galaxy over. We have a full review of the Genesis version for you, so chomp away!

Good review. Now I will try this in Rome.

EDIT: Those bears are placed wrong and the SSFII pic is still on the review index page.

I have no idea how or if the game ends, so I don't know if it freezes like the arcade cabinets do for the regular and Ms. Pac-Man.

Thats not really the end, I hope. I got as far as the third stage over again (beating all four stages twice, then beating the first two three times, then finally getting a game over the second time through pac man park). This game is actually quite underrated and really flew under the radar in my opinion.

Yeah, I actually really like to pull this out every once in a while for some quick arcade fun. I like the new graphix, its just a fun game overall. I didn't mind the music, actually I kind of like it. It doesn't offend me anyway.

Is it the best game in the series on the Genesis? Well, being that its only opposition is a weirdly programmed scrolling version of Ms. Pac-Man, or some weird, out of character scrolling game in which you control Pac-Man by a slingshot (don't get me started), I would say it is.
    I love how Ms. Pac-Man was rated an 8 and Pac-Mania a 7.

Whoever reviewed Ms. Pacman thought it was an 8, I gave it a six. Plus, you cant play it well with a six button. And that review is really short. USE THE MANIFEST! lol.

... And the link also leads to the exact same hotlinking-pic. Weird.

They should have included battery-backup so the scores are always saved. All games should have that. How much is a CR2032 battery? $1? Definitely worth it. Or maybe the people at Super Fighter Team can build a device that lets you save your games on an adaptor for your Sega Genesis games.

Game save devices already exist, they're just not common.
