The Japanese versions of games that are common elsewhere can be rare, The Ooze and Comix Zone for instance. Snow Bros is rare, apparently only 2000 copies were made.
Tetris is very very rare, as it was cancelled because of legal troubles, and only a few copies made it out.

Outback Joey is ultr@ r@re, less than 1000 copies were made IIRC. Panorama Cotton is quite r@re as well, around 5000 copies were made but it quite easy to get anyway if you just have enough c@$h.

Is it actually possible to get tetris, how much is it?

Lets say I had 5 grand, would I be able to obtain it?

    Just curious

Are we only talking released games?

I've seen prototype genesis carts at auction fetch in the high 4 figure range.

A good friend of my good friend has an authentic Sonic Crackers cart Maybe I could sell my game's prototype cartridge (If I ever decide to sell it) in future for some nice numbers... it will be the only cart availbable... fully handmade and even signed dreams dreams....

Isn't there about 900 copies of the original Phantasy Star knocking around for the Mega Drive?
The re-released Beggar Prince is quite a rare game too.

'Mundocombo' on Assembler has paid 11,000 euros (over $16,000) for MD Tetris recently.

Phantasy Star is far too cheap to be that rare, IMHO. You can also get it quite easily. There must be many more than 900 of those. Beggar Prince is a bastard child in the rarity category - the game is still sold new for its original price, so it doesn't fit in. It is just on a low run.

Well, if you want to include 32X games, Darxide would have to rank up there as one of the rarest.
