Default A possible feature, I want your thoughts.

Okay, since most of you dont know this, but my last feature got the axe for probably being too short and or not interesting to anyone but me. Now I want to do a special feature, but I want your guys' opinions on this.

I want to do a feature on the glory that is Action 52. I want to cover as many bases as I can on this, including a two or three line explanation on every "game" thats on the genesis cart, possibly getting in contact with someone who is involved. What do you guys think?

That sounds fantastic, I'd be very interested in it..... Definitely do it and give an explanation of each game, I hate to be so demanding but screenshots of each one too and you'd have a class feature

Also why don't you start a new thread and pop in your last feature that didn't pass through, and we'd all get to read it via that way.....

Yeah, it's been done, regrettably. You could take on some of those 22-in-1 bootlegs, though.

Okay, so its been done. I can do a double take on it perhaps, go more in depth (not saying that the other one was bad or anything). Im talking ALL 52 games. Like the most in depth look youve ever seen. Or. I could do a stories from the book of about it. Its either that, or I do a stories about my experiences with hockey games on the genesis, or about the multiple failed titles that EA released. I want to do more features now compared to reviews, but there are still a lot of games Id like to hit. How about a review of all of the possible emulators that are out "on the market"? Has anyone done that? This also is probably the most busy week of the whole year for me because my fraternity is putting on a giant event where we host over 50 jazz bands and I have to play in five different concerts this weekend! Im going to pull my hair out. Ah, well. I love this site, and I just made it my home page. And if you knew that I have never changed my home page until today, then that tells you how much I love this site. I have to get to a meeting, ill be back on here at like 12 midnight (EST).

Double Take is for great, remembered games. The emulator idea is cool. What feature was axed?

The game show one? It hasn't been axed, actually. I haven't put it up yet because I found some Japanese games that I wanted to go over with you first.

Erp. My bad . Thats fine with me. I totally assumed that it was nixed. My mom always told me: when you assume, you make an a** out of u and me. Sigh. Great! Yeah, you can go ahead and put whatever it was that you wanted to put on it and throw it up and surprise me with it. Feel free to put your name on it as well.

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about:

I wrote what basically amounted to a game show video game genre spotlight. Well, turns out that it came up kind of short. I mean, how many differences were there between Jeopardy! and Jeopardy! Sports Edition (Actually, I just played through them both for SNES, and it appears that the sports one was nearly totally redone from the nearly awful original). So, after Melf told me that it wasnt long enough (and that I had forgotten a title (Wheel of Fortune for Sega CD) so I had to quick write one up), I assumed (see above) that it had went the way of the dodo bird.

Okay, I got out of rehearsal early, so I have some time to talk about my "Four Proposed Feature Ideas"

    1) Hockey "Stories from the book of".... Yeah, well if you see my signature, you'll know that I am the (un)disputed champion of all things Joe Montana (and Bill Walsh College) Football. Well, turns out i think im pretty masterful at the majority of hockey games for sega too. I have all my seasons going on my nomad and stuff, and I figure I have some stories from some friends who were disgusted after they were unable to break my winning streak(s) such.

    2) Early Horrible EA Games (dont know what it would fall under): Yeah. It would be kind of like a Genre Spotlight, with mini reviews on a mixing of EA games from (whenever EA started to make games for Genesis) to 1994. Yeah. (Inspired by Dark Castle.)

    3) "Alex Burr Tackles Action 52": I sit down and play and give short little three line reviews about each game and then write en masse about the experience, including a link to the other article???? Hopefully it'll be okay.

    4) "What You Need To Know About Emulating the Sega Genesis and All of It's Masterful Add Ons : A Readers Guide": Basically, a guide to people who are thinking about doing this. I dont have time to elaborate (have a meeting at 9), but you get the gist of what I'm saying.

There ya go. Bon Appetit. (EDIT: wow, this is way too long).

I remember asking about doing the exact same thing about 3 years ago. I wanted to review all 52 games. I was then told that it'd be the most boring thing around and instead did the "top 10".

And anyone who worked on it refuses to speak with the media. I tried.

Don't forget super smash tv for the tv shows Not,

Hey Vinny couldn't trekbone, collaborate with your article and shove in the extra 42?

I don't see how the article could be any worse than playing all 52 and I for one would be very interested in it... I say definitely do something with it!

Im talking about games that were actual television game shows, like the price is right, jeopardy!, wheel of fortune, etc.

    I second megabomberman's motion.

Tis' going to be sweet! I enjoyed your thing about robotnik alot! I always thought he was a rather cheesy villain, perfect for sonic games.

For what it's worth, you could not pay me to read an article with 'Action 52' in the title. Case and point, this thread does not have Action 52 in the title and I am upset for being tricked into remembering that damn game.
