Don't spare the hot air gun and a roll of scotch tape in cases like that. If the goo isn't on a label, that can save a ton of scrubbing.

I don't have a hot air gun, but I'll tell you what I do have: gumption.

That's some sweet desert for elbow grease if I ever saw it.
The Goo Gone soaked into a label or two, but better that than unsightly sticker residue, I always say.
That goo gone gets everywhere.
unsightly labels aren't allowed in my collection unless its a super rare game at a real cheap price than i can compromise.
What's the best way to remove really stickers from paper? I've got a couple on some Mega Drive games I brought last year and I'm afraid I'll rip the artwork if I attempt to remove them.
The only thing I've had success with is a hot air gun. The labels can take a lot more heat than most stickers, but you still have to be very careful while pealing the sticker off.
I would use a hot air gun even if I were removing a sticker from a game manual cover or game insert. It doesn't always work, but it is the only way I know to loosen the glue of the sticker without smearing the ink of the paper below it. I usually have more trouble not burning my fingers than I do getting stickers off of things, but some stickers are real bastards.
