I've had to plug the hard drive into my Desktop just to restore the partitions, for some reason after the virus killed the boot sector Windows Recovery Console and FixMBR completely deleted the partitions. I was able to restore them, and the files are all there, but I'm having to relearn how to look through all of the boot files and check everything because the easy fixes aren't working, and the Recovery console still acts like the partition isn't there. Hiren's Boot CD can see it just fine, as can my Desktop, so I'm just having to search through gobs of forum fixes for other problems to see if I can find a solution for mine. Fun fun. I'd wipe the guy's hard drive and just restore windows, but he has expensive proprietary software he can't get back without a huge fee installed on the drive.

    GoGo Tank
Gremlins 2 - Actually a really good game, although quite short. The music on the last two levels is excellent.
Kung Fu Master - I don't know if this is a port or not, but it appears to be a bigger, better sequel to the game we know in the states as "Kung Fu."
Mario's Picross - Probably the best puzzle game on the GameBoy.
Mercenary Force - Terrible graphics and music, but strangely addictive gameplay.
Mole Mania - Awesome action/puzzler. Highly recommended.
Mystical Ninja - Yeah, it's on the GameBoy, too! And I have it! (never played it, though)
Nail 'N Scale - Hey, I got this one, too! (along with Battle Unit Zeoth, Cyraid and CosmoTank)
Ninja Boy - Don't know anything about this game other than the fact that I have it and the sequel is better.
Ninja Boy II - Don't know anything about this game other than the fact that I have it and it's better than the first one.
Snow Brothers - This one was hard to track down, and yet remains the least-elusive version of the game released in the US. Better than Bubble Bobble.
Spot: The Cool Adventure - Played McKids BITD? I did, and really liked it. For some reason, they turned the main character to Spot for the GameBoy version.
Stop That Roach - Another game I had to watch and watch and watch Ebay for. Plays nothing like Catrap, but I'd put it right there in the same league.
Tail Gator - Very cute and solid little platformer NOT made by Nintendo, which is oddly enough a rarity on the system.
TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan - HAH! I love this game. The most-basic and best of the 3 TMNT GameBoy games.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - There's a Sunsoft version and a Capcom version. I have them both. The dude behind this game later went on to create some scary game on the Playstation for Capcom. "Evil" something...
Thanks for the suggestions. Stop That Roach is something I'll have to look into. And why are GBC games so damn expensive?

Because people are retarded. The GBC has, game for game, probably the worst library out of any popularly-supported system I can think of (outside of the scant handful of games that you're probably referring to).

@MrMattews: Probably. Most of the stuff I like I can hardly find, but when I do they're outrageous. Return of the Ninja, Daikatana (no joke), Ghosts N' Goblins, Metal Gear, etc. all start in (at lest) the $25 range on ebay just for loose carts.

On a side note I was just thinking, one of the most interesting things about the GB is that a lot of it's games wouldn't even be allowed on full console systems. Take Catrap for instance. Sure the NES and SNES could have done it easy, but there's no way the developers or publishers would invest in putting it on those systems. They would have to add more 'stuff' to it to make it better. But the truth is it probably wouldn't be better. A lot of people, I think, look at gameboy games as lesser or watered down versions of their console cousins. To me, though, most of them come off as being more refined, focusing on the core game-play with fine precision. Operation C is a good example.

It's been a while since I've been here. I had to sell a bunch of my retro games a while back, and I was just sort of out of the loop for while, but now I'm slowly getting back into everything.
It's been a rough couple of years.

    Thanks, Jesse!

In an attempt to prove my own point to myself, I looked up a few "complete" listings of GameBoy Color games on sites like Wikipedia, GameFaqs, and RFGeneration. Between the three lists I viewed, there were about 450 GBC games released in the States. Scanning through the game titles reads like a laundry list of every popular toy and kids show between the years of 1998 and 2002, as well as a generous helping of heavily-abbreviated "ports" of Playstation and N64 games. You saw this same kind of thing on other systems, but certainly not to this extent. Without doing any heavy calculation, I'd venture to guess than less than 20% of the entire GBC library was actual original content.

The Off Topic section has really slowed down in the past few days. A friend came over to my house on Thursday, and we played some games. He only left yesterday, so I wasn't on here very much those past few days. But now I'm back in full swing, and hopefully people will start posting a little more soon.

The hardest game on the NES/GB? I think so. Could never complete the Death Star run; always, always got killed.

I attempted the GameBoy version not too long ago. Didn't get very far.

I don't like games like that.
