Haha, I don't care how sad this sounds. After months of wanting to get my mitts on one, I went into my local supermarket and found this in the sweets isle. Looks like they're now stocking them in UK stores!

    How do you like them?

I did the same over here and tried Mars bars for myself. They now added a British end cap to the Publixes around here. You can even find Marmite at an affordable price.

They're not that bad; very sweet taste.

What do you think of Mars bars then?

I was hoping for it to taste more like Babe Ruth (which I love). But they were unique in their own way (which is also good).

I can't eat them; I have an allergic reaction to 'em; gums hurt like hell if I have as little as an nibble.

Strangely, small snack size ones I can eat with no problems.

Wait, what's this about Mars bars? They've been sold over here for as long as I can remember (the crazy guy from M.A.S.H. advertised them in the 80's, in fact).

I've never looked for it, so I don't know. Is it like Nutella?

@Jackal: I just might, but I wouldn't call it tea. More like, a ready-made stock.
@MrMatt: No. It's the Australian version of Marmite.

I'll check WinCo next time I'm there. They always have weird stuff. Um... what is it? Is it a sandwich spread like mayo or mustard, or is something sweet that would be next to the jams, jellies, and peanut butter?

It's a byproduct of the fermentation process of beer grains. It's extremely high in salt of carries the umami flavor.
