    Default Replacement Longboxes?

Does anyone know if you can buy replacement (reproduction) Sega CD cases? They crack super easily, but I want to maintain the feel of the classic "where the hell am I going to fit this on a shelf?".

I know, I know, but I'm not buying crappy games just for the box. That would be morally wrong.

Agreed that would be morally wrong. Especialy throwing OUT the crappy game. Crappy or not, its still a game.

I've got a couple of Sega CD cases that I'm not using, because I switched to using DVD cases, but I think they'd be useless because you can't get the back insert in the back out.

One less copy of Madden wouldn't make me sad one little bit.

Ditto, I'm afraid I often pick up really common titles with mint boxes and throw the cart and sleve away.

Its like killing in dangerd species. A copy of Madden wil NEVER be made again. And destroying a copy of a game just to satisfy your "collection" is wrong. I'm shure there are other people out there who'd love to play Madden, only they can't because some guy got the last copy in excistence and threw it out so he could have a spare case.

    And yes, I'm nutz.

I bought a used copy of NBA Live '98 for Saturn the other day for $2. I threw out everything and used the box for a Saturn game that was in need of a new one.

I feel no remorse for my actions.

You'd have to replace a hell of a lot of cases before you'd make an EA sports game rare, theres tons of them out there and a comparatively tiny number of people that actually want them to play.

That makes no sense. How can you not be able to get the back insert out?

I should have said: "I have no idea how to get the back inserts out."

Firstly I can tell you from somone in the UK that NOBODY wants to play Madden on MegaDrive, and bizzarely we seem to have more copies floating about here than you guys in the US do!

Secondly, if a stupidly common game I can pick up again for pennies had to die for a rediculously rare one to get a nice case then so be it!

You cant seriously expect anyone to think twice about ditching a $1 game in order to supply a $100 or even a $1000 game with a mint case.

You're not seriously comparing throwing out a copy of Saturn NBA Live '98 to the taking of a human life, are you?

I think of it more like organ donating. When a game's time is up, its box can be used to give a needy one some new life on the shelf.

Many NFL Quarterback Clubs for the 32X gave their lives to be boxes for my other 32X games.

I take it longboxes are no longer produced since this has somehow turned into an argument whether taking a life is morally correct apposed to throwing out a copy of Madden for the box.
