Sony Trinitron CRT TV. This was a free find, someone in the area was giving this away.

VERY nice score on the Karaoke unit SpaceFlea!
Now you can have the ultimate sexy beast of Mega Drive + MegaCD + Karaoke on the side. If I remember right they do just site on the side of the unit right? They don't latch onto it in any way?

EVERY retro gamer should have a good CRT, if only for lightgun support with snatcher. sega Genesis games look so much better on a CRT than they do on a modern TV, it always blows my mind how stipple shading actually looks transparent on a real genesis outputting to a CRT.
    A retarded Sonic.

Don't you mean dithering? Also, that trick only works through composite and RF. Dithering doesn't show up on S-Video, Component or RGB.

Clearly 16:9. Look at the text "Trinitron", "Sony" and the Genesis/SCD on the right side.

I hear the Trinitron is the best TV overall to play classic games on. Nice free find!

Okay, so the SEGA logo is stretched then. It was a bit confusing. I had no idea that there were trinitrons in 16:9.

I just got a 32" Trinitron Wega for 14 bucks, but it's still 4:3. Oh well, I can't imagine I'll run into any 16:9 games on anything older than the Dreamcast. That damn TV weighs more than me BTW.

Set that bad boy up with a Tower of Power and hope that you aren't instantly disintegrated.

Nice! MM6 is a great game. Is the box inside a plastic case? That Ninja Gaiden game is better than the NES versions IMO. I rarely ever see NES and Gamebly games with the box.
You know who else loves Sega....

The guy I bought MM6 from was clearly a collector, because the game is practically in MINT condition and has all the extra promo crap inside. And yeah, he shipped it in that plastic case. Looks nice, so I'll keep the game in it.

And I've been waiting for a CIB copy of Ninja Gaiden for months. Given how much the loose cartridge goes for (I think I bought mine for about $25), I was expecting a boxed game to be over a hundred. So when I saw this one for $60, I bought it without a second thought.

I've had that boxed Ducktales in my watchlist for a month or so and it was holding at about $40. Finally the seller marked it down 50%, so I swooped in on it.

Battletoads was an impulse buy. It was right after I bought Ninja Gaiden and Ducktales and I was feeling pretty good about myself, so I figured "what the hell?"

    Let's see...it's been a while.

    Systems:
PS1 model 7501 - free, saved it from the dump

Game Gear - free, saved it from the dump. Powers up but I have no games to test full functionality.

Gamecube x2 - One model 001 (free) and one model 101 ($6). The model 001 was missing all lids, including the disk cover. I took the insides of the 001 and put it inside most of the 101's shell.

Gamecube component cable - $65 on ebay, like new in box.....that's the best deal I could find.

Gameboy Player - $20, only missing the slip cover for the disk case

    Model 2 Sega CD - $50, is a gift for a friend.

VA6 Model 1 Genesis - came with the Sega CD.

    Games:
    Silent Hill 3 (PC) - $20, complete

    Yakuza (PS2) - $10, complete

    Zelda: SS

Metroid: Zero Mission, Metroid: Fusion - $30

Megaman (Gameboy), NFL Blitz (N64), Namco Museum (DC) - Free

Test Drive: Le Mans - $6, sealed

Rayman (PS1), Mischief Makers, Cruisin USA, Turok - $16

NBA Jam TE (Saturn) - $8

Toy Story, Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, Comix Zone, Spot Goes to Hollywood - $12

Portal 2 (PS3) - Comes with free Steam Download

    Metal Gear HD Collection
