Correct. It just sits next to it.
EVERY retro gamer should have a good CRT, if only for lightgun support with snatcher. sega Genesis games look so much better on a CRT than they do on a modern TV, it always blows my mind how stipple shading actually looks transparent on a real genesis outputting to a CRT.
A retarded Sonic.
Here are my latest Christmas presents to myself. All of them are totally complete, man!

Okay, so the SEGA logo is stretched then. It was a bit confusing. I had no idea that there were trinitrons in 16:9.
I just got a 32" Trinitron Wega for 14 bucks, but it's still 4:3. Oh well, I can't imagine I'll run into any 16:9 games on anything older than the Dreamcast. That damn TV weighs more than me BTW.
The guy I bought MM6 from was clearly a collector, because the game is practically in MINT condition and has all the extra promo crap inside. And yeah, he shipped it in that plastic case. Looks nice, so I'll keep the game in it.
And I've been waiting for a CIB copy of Ninja Gaiden for months. Given how much the loose cartridge goes for (I think I bought mine for about $25), I was expecting a boxed game to be over a hundred. So when I saw this one for $60, I bought it without a second thought.
I've had that boxed Ducktales in my watchlist for a month or so and it was holding at about $40. Finally the seller marked it down 50%, so I swooped in on it.
Battletoads was an impulse buy. It was right after I bought Ninja Gaiden and Ducktales and I was feeling pretty good about myself, so I figured "what the hell?"
Let's see...it's been a while.

PS1 model 7501 - free, saved it from the dump
Game Gear - free, saved it from the dump. Powers up but I have no games to test full functionality.
Gamecube x2 - One model 001 (free) and one model 101 ($6). The model 001 was missing all lids, including the disk cover. I took the insides of the 001 and put it inside most of the 101's shell.

Gameboy Player - $20, only missing the slip cover for the disk case
