I used a forwarding service called Tenso (http://www.tenso.com/en/). They give you a Japanese address (which is the same for every order you make) to use when checking out, and when the address gets the order, they ship it out to you EMS. Of course there's a service and shipping fee, but you're free to order anything online in Japan. I've been using them for about two years, and they haven't failed me yet.
The second game I ordered from Japan came in 2 days ago.
Akumajou Densetsu... hell yeah! It's a damn shame Nintendo had such stupid policies in North America, because I tell ya, the VRC6 is something else. Absolutely phenomenal sound; puts the simplistic PSG-only soundtrack of Castlevania III to shame.
It was quite pricey, though. This loose copy of Akumajou Densetsu cost me about $40 shipped. I've never spent that much money on a single loose game. I don't care, though, I'm enjoying this game a lot.

Starting work on a computer for a MAME cabinet....want to build it now and get the cabinet when I move. Would have waited on almost all accounts, however Microcenter had some great deals on processors and motherboards so I saved like $60 over newegg that I just had to do it. I have the SSD I want to use, PSU and Windows 7 on the way from Newegg as the PSU was much much cheaper..
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

I bought a few gba games today for prices too cheap to pass up and a rpg for wii called fragile dreams.
gba games, cart only:
summon night $2.50
demi kids: dark version $1
demi kids: light version $1
dave mirra freestyle bmx 3 $1
megaman battle network 3: white $1.25
megaman battle network 5: team protoman $2.00
wii:
fragile dreams $20 (complete)
i'm really not impressed with the megaman battle network games so far, but for under $5 I can't complain. i'm not too sure what to think of fragile dreams yet, seems like a decent action rpg but i've only played a few minutes of it.
Luna Video Games:
Chocobo Racing (PSX) - $29.99 + tax
Conquest of the Crystal Palace (NES) - $7.99 + tax
Also got 3 bucks off on my purchase 'cause the dude who works there is really cool.
eBay:
Final Fantasy VIII & IX (PSX) - $27.52 shipped
When I got home from the game store, these had arrived in the mail. Really good condition, and totally complete (FFVIII has the manual and the mini strategy guide, and FFIX has the manual and the PlayOnline advertisement). Never played FFIX at all so I'm excited about that one.
Goodwill:
Winback: Covert Operations (PS2) - $3.99
Predator (DVD) - $3.99
Janet Jackson, Control (CD) - $2.99
Prince & The Revolution, Purple Rain (CD) - $2.99
Stopped by Goodwill a little later. Some good stuff for great prices!
Never met him. I live in Sacramento. But he shows up on a lot of Pat the NES Punk videos.
I've seen Ian around way more than the owner recently. Both are great guys. How do you like the new Newport location Jerry? Bigger. Even though there's way more traffic on Newport, I haven't had trouble finding parking yet.
