Score for today:
new NES 72-pin connector. Now installed and I can finally play games without 15 minutes of battling the console!
And also, Kirby Super Star for the SNES.
Wow, the contents of this post feel wrong to post here. Meh. Too bad.

Yeah, the NES is pretty poorly designed compared to the Famicom (well, except for the whole hardwired controllers deal on the original FC) but I imagine it was probably cheaper in the long run for me to just fix this NES. $30 got me the console, another $10 got me the new connector, whereas AV Famicoms appear to be going for ridiculous prices on Ebay. That, and unless I found a converter I'd be stuck with FC games which may or may not be in Japanese. I'd go for an NES 2, but they're RF only so no way.

Awesome haul, mick. Classic PC games rule. I've been trying to find a copy of Indiana Jones & the Fate of Atlantis myself, as I've heard so much about it. The "making of" feature in Retro Gamer #51 just made me more eager to play it.
Battle Royale manga: 4-6 book $20
Azumanga Daioh soundtrack $13
Yesterday I went out on a quest to pick up Sonic Adventure and ended up with this stuff:
-The new Alkaline Trio cd
-Genesis 1 AC adapter
-Sonic Adventure
And for 5 bucks I found this little thing. Probably not anything special to you guys but to see one randomly here in Tucson was a bit surprising. I'm almost positive it's a pirate bootleg but as its the first one I've seen in real life I could be mistaken.
Also, does this game really have no continue credits on it? It's not especially hard so far but a shmup without any credits thats unreal.

Genesis: Zombies Ate My Neighbors (loose) $4

Well, more non-Sega haulage. I think I'm going to have to find a new source for Genesis stuff, as the store I have been going to hasn't gotten anything new in my last 3 visits, each spaced about 2-3 weeks apart.
But other than that, they seem fine for Nintendo related stuff! They always have a different selection for those systems.
Today's haul:
NES:
Mega Man 2
Mega Man 3
N64:
Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition
Star Fox 64
GB Advance:
Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
All loose carts.

You might want to establish some sort of connection with the store, it's possible they might have sold some near stuff.
I've done that in the past, and have made out like a bandit.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...
Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.
