If your list is personal, then yes, you can make a 500 games list, or even 600, 700, 800. It doesn't matter, because the reasons for including a game would be personal (nostalgia, bias, whatever reason).

As for why Kagero is on my list? Easy. It's listed with a score of 8.6 average based on scores of 104 users, as well as a 8.4 average based on 4 official reviews (Source = gamespot).
My list is not my "preferred" list of games. I have compiled it based on average review and user scores, as well as user comments and votes. This is much more reliable than having a few people note a game. No offense, sheath.
That's not really the majority, though. That's a majority from a self-selected poll, and an average of a fraction of contemporary reviews. What does that prove?

Critics are not always "right". The highest-rated GBA game (at least on Metacritic) is Tony Hawk 2 -- does anyone really think that's the best game the system has to offer? I don't think I'd even put it in a top 100 GBA games list, myself. Another fun fact from Metacritic: Summoner (the original) is "better" than God Hand. Do you agree? How many "real people" share that opinion?

Even when the critics are "right", a score doesn't tell the whole story. Resident Evil 2 has a high score on PSX. But who wants to play it on PSX today? It has since been released on N64, Dreamcast, PC, and Gamecube, and all of these are substantially better. It's still a good game on Playstation, but practically speaking, it's of little use to note that.

And anyway don't you have your own opinion? I find out if a game is good by playing it, not by mechanically digesting posted scores.

You just can't handle my jawusumness responces.

    was in Lemington Spa this weekend and popped into a gametrader;

They had Saturn, N64, PS1, and Master System games. Naturally got a bit excited as finding such things in the wild in the UK are slim to none.

Picked up ThunderHawk 2 for the saturn Mint CIB £1
Micro Machines for the SMS mint CIB £4
and GT for the PSP not retro but was cheap and on my want list £12

wasn't much else worth having tbh other than your usual sports titles still made my day

$50 for everything. I'll take some pictures of the 1084S once I make an RGB cable for one of my RGB-capable consoles.
Nice find on the 1084. RGB is the way to go.

Damn right it is. The picture quality is like on an emulator, except it's not an emulator. It's the original hardware.

Now to make some RGB cables for all my RGB-capable consoles.

Lotsa stuff today. Two packages from eBay, and one trip to the store produced the following:

First, a loose manual for Point Blank 2, a game which I had accidentally bought once without a manual. Small stroke of luck that a loose manual came along, and now at last I have the game complete. Price was £1.79.

Anna Kournikova's Smash Court Tennis, or rather just Smash Court Tennis 2, for the PS1. Nice silly and fun tennis game, CIB for £3.49.

Next, brand new, the 2010 remaster of Nine Inch Nails' Pretty Hate Machine album. Price was €19.99, and I did a good deed at the same time by supporting my local indie music store.

    And last but not least:

Ristar for the Mega Drive, CIB in absolutely mint condition (except for the hanging tab that's missing, which is not a biggie), for just €8.40.

That was one of those lucky shots on eBay. The auction did not show much, just a photograph of the front cover, but I had a good feeling about it, and it turned out to be exactly what I had hoped. Very satisfying.

Devil N, congrats on Ristar! That's a great price, and it looks to be in very nice condition as well. Enjoy the game, it's tops on the Genesis as far as I'm concerned.

Does the 1084S need a sync stripper like the normal 1084's do?

Yes well, fortunately Mega Drive cases are the easiest parts to replace, so I'll do some scrounging sooner or later for a cheap donor case. The parts that really matter, the inlay, manual and cartridge, are all as perfect as you can get.

Thanks! I already knew it was an excellent game, but now that I can play it properly on my CRT TV, it's even better!

My particular 1084S has inputs for H/V sync and Composite Sync on the RGB plug(it's a DB9 plug), so no sync strippers are required.

It will not take Composite video as Composite Sync, though. You'll just get a messed-up image.

I think over the weekend, I'll go buy some parts to make RGB cables for my consoles. Since I can't find the right plug for any Sega console's A/V out, I'll show the monitor in action using my newly RGB-modded Nintendo 64(I need to see if I can get away with no RGB amp on the 1084S).

I picked up a brand new Saturn controller made by "performance" at the local thrift store for $2.50 (It was marked $4.99, but it had been there so long it was half-off the sticker price). Strangest thing I've ever seen there.
I also bought an action replay from ebay for $20 for the Saturn (always wanted one of these). And last, I bought a VCD card for the Saturn from a seller in Hong Kong as well for $15 (works great).
