What's TMS and why is it more demanding than a standard HDG genesis??

A console with TMSS, or Trademark Security System, is less desirable than one without it. TMSS itself isn't really the issue -- what it does is lock out a couple of early unlicensed games, but there's so few of those that it's not really worth mentioning. What TMSS signifies however, is that the console in question is a later revision (as TMSS was introduced about a year after the Genesis was released) and those consoles have slightly cheaper, lower quality hardware. Especially the sound hardware is better with the earlier, non-TMSS consoles.
Also, non-TMSS consoles don't have the license screen that shows up when you power on the Genesis. That saves you a couple of seconds in startup time.![]()
Night of the Demon
Now I can retire my worn VHS copy. If you're into 80s horror movies, here's a lost gem that you should definitely give a try. It has a good amount of gore and some really disturbing situations (Big Foot rape being one).
Gekijouban Macross F: Sayonara no Tsubasa - Hybrid Pack (Blu-ray movie and PS3 game combo) and Bomber Raid (Two Mega Power!)

Just won an auction for a loose Super Famicom on eBay for $31. I've always been curious about the Super Fami and I managed to snag one for a fairly reasonable price. I'll be modding it to fit SNES games so it's not confined to the few SFC games I have.
Brace yourselves, guys...

Finally, I have a complete copy of The Super Shinobi, aka the Japanese version of The Revenge of Shinobi:
Cost me €12.50. I already had two copies of the game, one REV01 copy with box but no manual, and a cart-only copy of REV00. Now I finally have the full-color manual, and in terms of quality this is the best copy I got so far. And to my great pleasure, it turns out to be a REV00 copy as well, with Rambo, Batman and Godzilla. So now I have two of those.
Speaking of which, I noticed the manual shows off the Rambo and Godzilla enemies:

I wonder if the later revisions of the game have this same manual?
My copy has the same manual. Though I have no idea how to tell what revision it is.
I'm sorry about my voice on the first clip, I get kinda of panicky when I am trying to do a packaging video knowing that my camera well die out any second due to low battery, but today I was able to find rechargeable batteries for the dam thing so I won't have any more of that.

Man, really you guys, I thought I was going to have something awesome to post here. Here's the link to the original listing I saw this morning
http://cosprings.craigslist.org/vgm/2665509957.html
I've also attached a screen shot of it in case he updates the listing eventually.
Attachment 4039
If you're like me, you saw this and thought, "HOLY SHIT! A mod Neptune on Craigslist and the guy only wants $60 for it!" So I contacted the guy, drove about 30 minutes and met him after work in a Walmart parking lot just to find out...
.
.
...it was just a regular Model 2.
It looks like he just grabbed the picture off the net, presumably from this page, and wasted both our time. It was sooooo frustrating, and I told the guy that since it was different from the picture on the listing I didn't want it. He said "Would you even make an offer on it?" and the only reply I could muster was "Sorry to waste your time, but I don't need another Sega Genesis."
I haven't been this disappointed since I got a Nintendo product for Christmas.![]()
I can kinda relate. I was selling my copy of megaman 5 for the nes on Craigslist and I get this message saying this guy would trade me his super nintendo with cables and controllers. Before we met I asked him if the snes was yellow on top and he said no but something else I can't quite remember. When I meet up with him. The snes was so fucking yellow on top with small cracks on the edges I just had to say no. Felt kinda of bad making him drive towards my neighborhood for nothing. :P
I found a complete in box copy of mega man at the flea the other day for 5 bucks :P its a little worn at the top but otherwise it looks pretty good. It even has most of the cellophane!
My collection of Sega clone Hardware is finally complete, after selling and trade others I had that were in bad shape, I got these 2 replacements:
Songa with 2 Songa 6button controllers and an Electrolab 16 bit with electrolab 6b controllers:
Oh, I also got TMNT and Batman pirate carts CIB.
