Just got this monster in the mail! I sold my 3DO a year or so ago and man have I missed it. The 3DO has so many good and bad games. It's a less straightforward system and I love it.

This quote from the 3DOAge announced thread is just perfect:

One thing I liked about the some of the other games is that although the games themselves weren't necessarily "good," they were experimental, and they showed a lot of creativity, even if the ideas didn't necessarily work out.
Now that I own the 3DO, I can finally play all the Gex games:

@MrMatthews: Nice score dude. That looks pristine. I've been wanting to get a nice, boxed Nomad since they came out.

I've been on the fence about this game for a while, but seeing it pop up here a couple of times lately made me think, oh what the heck:

DoDonPachi Resurrection for the Xbox 360, new in seal and including the soundtrack CD, for €16.49.

I like the fact that the back of the box directly refers to DoDonPachi Dai-ou-jou ("who said you could have a 'peaceful death'"), despite that it was never released outside of Japan.

Not sure who this might interest here, but I got hold of two strange PAL Mega Drive variants last week:

I'd never seen this SOR2 boxart before, but it's definitely unusual. Here's the regular PAL cover for comparison. And I found this Genesis "not for resale" game cover, which is very similar - is the normal US coverart the same?

    Oh, and also:

You'll probably need to click to see (my photo isn't great anyway ) but he's not called Skate, nor Sammy, but Eddie! And you can just make out that Axel is referred to as 'Axtel' in the blurb on the back - I'm thinking that was probably a typo, but the screenshot's a bit more interesting.
Anyone else have this version? The seller also had an Australian SOR3, so I'm wondering whether this came from Aus, too.

Unusual PAL version of Sonic (on the left, next to my regular PAL version to compare). It's similar to the Canadian Sonic (PAL boxart with Genesis logos) except this is very Aus PAL:

It has a smaller case (and insert to go with it), different manual, cart casing, and everything says "Ozisoft" all over it. And yes, I wanted these out of pure geekism - afaik they aren't "documented" anywhere, and they're two of my favourite Sega games. :P

You probably already know this but Ozisoft is the Australian distributor for SEGA games.

    I did, but thanks

Ftr I'm quite jealous of MrMatthews' shiny CIB Nomad, too. (Don't mod it, it's too new looking!)

Is it really that difficult to import games directly from Europe to the US? Over the years I've ordered plenty of games the other way round and that's never been much of a problem.

I had a few people who wouldn't ship to the USA or split games in lots but for the most part it wasn't that bad bur harder than it needed to be, IMO. I have no problem shipping overseas but I found it funny it was an issue the other way around.
The smell of scorched oil hangs in the air as a premonition of danger, while the engine gloriously shouts its war cry...

Throughout history, suspicion has always bred conflict. The real conflict, though, resides in people's hearts. This conflict has just begun.

Hardcopy 2D games is the only deciding factor for me to truly enter the 7th generation. I've got a Wii, but that's ridiculously 6th gen. I'm not talking about specs here, simply the industry's own viability in resorting to hard copy 2D games. I think that's just awesome in today's market. And that's why I'm thinking the 360 might just become my next system.
