    Default Bari Arm(Android Assault) Rocks!

I finally got a copy of this and played it last night. I had no idea how good this game is! I am just blown away at the wonderfully detailed graphics and level design. Although I got stuck at the level 2 boss, what I saw was just fantastic! This one definately flew under the radar.

I really enjoy the part where you start scrolling up like a verticle shooter. The backgrounds here in level 2 were just fantastic.

I really like the weapons too. I read a review that said the weapons were nothing exciting. I couldn't stop staring at the missiles moving out of my ship and then forward and backwards. That one just rocks!

I can't wait to finish this game. It definately deserves to be up there with the best 16 bit shooters.

Yeah, I think the game is very solid as well.

One big drawback for me was the music. If I like a game, but I don't like the music I pass up on it.
In this case such a great game, but the music killed it for me. Sold it a few years ago.

That's a pretty stupid reason to sell a game. On topic, the game was pretty good. One of my favs for the Sega CD.

I personally loved the music. Heck, I loved everything about Bari-Arm; it's my favorite Sega CD shmup.

Robo Aleste was my fav, but this is now my fav. SCD shump after playing a few rounds of it last night.

It's a great game that really reminds me of Thunder Force 3 and 4 mixed. The font for the weapons and whatnot is the same. The graphics look alike and they both have rockin' music.

Calling it stupid is a bit harsh. You would understand if you would know me.

Well, I think it's stupid to give up something you like.

Just an observation, nothing intented to be offensive.

    None taken.

What I meant with my post was that I admire the solidness of the game(play), but I do not like playing it due to the music.

You could just mute the sound and play some music that you do enjoy listining to while you're playing it.

I don't think the music is that bad. It doesn't rock like Thunder Force 3 for instance, but what shooter does?

I played like that when I was little; now I don't do that anymore. I'm a rather strange gamer in that respect.

Thunder Force IV, Lords of Thunder, Eliminate Down, ALESTE, Battle Mania 2 and probably more I forgot.
Counting other systems you could make a huge list of rocking shooter soundtracks.

And not rock, but (shooter) soundtracks of note on the Genesis: Sol Feace, Bio Hazard Battle, Gynoug, &c.
