I also like Ballz. For a couple of dollars the game is not that bad. It's entertaining for what it is. I can pull off more moves in this game than some other fighters, the 3D perspective is nice, and this is more unique than most.

It was quite nice back then because of the 3D effect, but the core gameplay is very weak and I prefer classic 2D fighting games anyway

If not for the Sega Channel, I would've either taken much longer to discover Ballz, or missed out on it entirely.

Despite discovering it through the Genny{and owning some Sega Visions issues that contain Ballz' vague and ill-advised ads}, I actually own this game on the SNES.

This is not only due to the fact that the majority of my 2D fighting games are on that system, but because I think it is aesthetically similar to the Clayfighter games.

Kudos to Accolade for attemping a new take on an established genre{much like they did with the Bubsy games}, but it unfortunately didn't translate into a definitive final product.
"Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis is the best video game ever."

    "I disagree.
It's a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever."

    "Donkey Kong Sucks!"

    "You know somethin'?
    You Suck!
