Do any of you have a friend/cousin in law enforcement? if so, please run this scenario by them and ask what I should do:

OK, starting last summer, this kind of hip hop clothing/sneaker collecting store started a small skateboarding team because alot of the ghetto-type skateboarders were begging him to sponsor them. He put some raw footage of one of the skaters on youtube and I put a comment that said "could you put some music" or something like that and he said back "I don't know how" so I edited it with music when I was bored one day and sent him the link. He was impressed and asked me if I would edit the full video and that he would pay me etc. I was like "OK, that'll work" and said I would help film a little bit.

Well, these two little 15 year old shits on the team started to call me everyday to bring them to film and swear up and down the owner was going to pay for it (it may sound stupid now, but I thought the owner had said he would pay me for extra footage, etc.). Well, come to find out after a week or two of wasting my time and gas, the owner's like "I thought you guys were just going skating, I didn't realize they were making you film, I only care about my top 2 skaters getting footage, they lied to you" and I was like "shit!" So, I told the 15 year olds "look, you lied to me, that is not cool, if you want your footage you have to pay me for it including all the gas you wasted" and I was reasonable too, like 20 bucks (b/c I knew they wouldn't pay more, though they still haven't paid me).

After that, they both had this vendetta out to get me like I screwed them over or something and every time I would see them at the skatepark they would shoot their boards at me (intentionally "slipping out" to try to hit you with a 20 mph skateboard, it hurts) and shit like that. I talked with the owner of the store and asked him to talk to them since he kind of sponsors them and therefore has some power over them. One of them stopped after that (mostly b/c he realized it was stupid), but the other one kept on and kept on, probably because he knew I couldn't do anything because I was 21 (then) and he was 15.

Finally, after a while, he kind of stopped (maybe someone told him something, I don't know) and started trying to be super nice all of a sudden, then I found out why: he wanted to get the footage I took of him, and I told him: "yeah, $20, I wasted my time and gas and for $20 I'm giving it away." He still kept trying to beg me for it and whatever and then broke his leg and didn't skateboard for a couple months. He still tried to suck up some, etc. for the most part until last night.

Last night, he just decided he wanted to be a little shit and started shooting his board at me if I was "in his way" whether or not I even was and even accidentally hit someone else in the head with his board shooting it out one time. He shot his board at me about three times and then just tried to straight run into me slid out and fell (not hard) because he was trying to hard to go out of his way to run into me. Well, I picked up his board and threw it about 10 FT away (not at anybody) to be like "stop this shit, if youre gonna be stupid, I'm just going to make it that much worse getting your board back" and walked away. The second I do that, he rhino charges me from behind and punches me as hard as he can in the face. I'm 22, so I can't do a damn thing, so I just kind of pushed him off and got away. I don't even think he really has a huge beef with me anymore, I think most of it had to do with the 10 some odd 15 year old girls sitting in the bleachers right where it happened and him trying to be 50 Cent.

What my real question is: what can I do to get this kid to leave me alone? I can't just kick his ass (and I totally could) because I'm 22 and he's like 16 (and I would go to jail and have it on my permanent record that a I beat up a 16 year old, even though he's as tall as I am, though he does hit like a girl), I tried talking to the owner but he wasn't willing to do much of anything (because hes a pussy ass bitch to be honest). I thought about calling the police and filing assault charges, but I don't know how well that would work. I just want to scare this kid and make him at least think that if he touches me his ass will be in jail getting raped by a 300 pound serial killer. He really is just a dumb kid trying to act tough with nothing to back it up, but I shouldn't have to deal with him and I don't want him slashing my tires or keying my car or something like that (because obviously he knows what I drive). Shit like this is almost reason enough to quit skateboarding, but its too good of exercise and I like it to much to quit because someone else is a piece of shit.

and for those not quite understanding what I'm going through: imagine if everytime you went to EB, gamestop, play n trade, etc. there was some 15 year old that threw his cell phone at you (not nearly as bad a skateboard) and then when you got tired and threw the cell phone to the other side of the store he ran up and started punching you, all when you were just trying to buy a new PS2 game, I think now you can understand why I want this to stop.

You could always go to see the cops and try to find somebody to ask for advice. They should help you, especially if they think you will go kill him on your own if they don't do something.

the main thing is that I don't want the cops to somehow think I'm bullying him or something because that's not the case at all. Its the most frustrating thing ever because if I was 16 I could just kick his ass but since I'm 22 it would be a huge violation. I just want him scared to death of getting arrested because I know he's actually a huge pussy trying to act hard (as most are), but I want this to go away before I walk to my car with 4 slashed tires and 100 baseball bat dents and broken windows or something.

Honestly, unless you're in a real small town, the police probably won't do anything. You could file a complaint, but do you really think they're gonna waste their time on some kids in a fight where its your word against theirs? Unless a cop actually sees it go down, nothing will happen. It sucks balls, but dollars to donuts you might as well forget getting the cops involved. Conspiring to beat them up is a felony though and if you get caught, you will get in trouble and they'll go scott free whether they started it or not.

I doubt we will be told....maybe he suffered from some brain injury that was not immediately visible or something....but the thing I do know is that he died Friday last week.

I know they can't really do much, but I would at least file some sort of a police report so if it happens again and there are witnesses he'll get into some sort of trouble. I mean, they can't just let 16 year olds run around punching people in the face and get away scott free. I wouldn't say I live in a small town, but its not a big city either, and cops tend to be abundant and bored (never seem to have a problem hassling/kicking out skateboarders that street skate), and FWIW he is black and this is the south, so we all know how that goes...which makes it even dumber for him to target me to go after since I'm the last person that would just take this sitting down legally speaking.

Is there any way I could claim self defense if he did it again and I beat the shit out of him? I would probably get stuck with unnecessary force or some bullshit, but I don't think they could fault me for hitting him equally hard in the face once just to get him off of me. Like I said before, this isn't some 4 1/2 foot fetus, hes almost as tall as I am (about 6 feet) so its not like I'm just murdering some helpless little guy or anything.

Well I would talk to one of those bored cops first but if you really want to humiliate him tell his parents. Remind of the fact he is a kid. Does he have any kind of a record? Often it is possible to pull up records on local police and court websites. If he has a record it may help your case if it ends up in a fight. Just make sure he hits you first.
