This is probably the BEST Sonic rip off I ever played, btw its called "TIME DOMINATOR" in the Japan version.

Socket = 6.
Streets of Rage = 6.
StarMist =
Perhaps the reviewer mislaid his decimal point in posting.
This may just be the ugliest game on the Genesis. It's also no fun to hear or play. The Options screen alone in SOR is a better game. Socket makes Tinhead and either Taz game look like Sonic. It's Action 52 quality.
You're the first one to not defend this game.
Aren't you sweet to notice?
Hmm, who do you sound like with that populist attack? Oh, guess what, like him you're also wrong: Curryman said 3/5 (= 6/10), which is if anything a defence of the review, nobody who likes a game gives it a 6, and Aarzak called it "meh-tastic".
And no, I'm not going to defend a terrible game whose review score is far higher than its review content merits and the same number given an incredibly superior game. Or is this your way of saying you don't like Streets of Rage?
I wrote the review. I did not like this game, but I think 6 is a fair score. I was surprised at the number of people who thought that was too harsh.
Edit: And you are a crabby person, aren't you?

Where else were the use of pointing that out? Did you point out who was the first to mention Renovation, Plucky Duck, or write "btw". You pointed out the first person you perceived to disagree with everyone else. And since that was a misperception and in keeping with your character what else ought I to have deduced?
Because, Ass, I was actually somewhat pleased to see that someone else disliked this game enough to go out of their way to mention it, so I went out of my way to acknowledge it.
And it's funny that you think you've figured out my character. I had you pegged a while back too, because I've seen plenty of others like you come and go around here.

Its been a long time since I played this game, but I remember being a little unimpressed and thinking it was a bit unpolished, with level layouts that often seemed clumsy is design (they didn't seem to flow very well).
A score around the area of 5/10 - 6/10 seemed about right at the time from what I can recall, but there does seem to be a lot of praise around here for it, maybe I'll give it another thorough try when I have the spare time.
The music is not half bad, here's a mint playlist. :P
Out of all the Sonic clones out there I like this one the best. I even like it a bit better than Ristar. The character has that cool 90's charm that many tried to emulate but with not much success, the gameplay is fast and action packed, graphics are nice and colourful and the music is cool. The only thing I don't like about this game is the maze levels, it's like being stuck in Labyrinth Zone every few stages. Other than that though I think this game is great. It's constantly on my casual pick up and play list.

Ever since I saw this on Game Sack, I had to pick it up. I'm impressed by it. I ran through the first three zones last night and I had a lot of fun. The music is a big draw and so are the graphics. The gameplay is better than all the other Sonic clones from back then. I feel like awarding this one "diamond in the rough" status.

But now, not giving a crap and judging it on its own merits, it's a nice little game with attractive graphics, decent music and alright gameplay. A minor hidden gem that's worth a look.
