I haven't reached page 100 yet I'm already hooked. Yea, thats about it, I've never been good at descriptions.

Currently reading:

I had previously read (and highly enjoyed) Bill Bryoson's "The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid" and meant to pick up "Neither here nor there" (where he describes his travels through Europe), but accidentally picked that one up instead. It's still a very nice and fun read! It's not really fiction, but it's no specialized book either. He describes his travels from an autobiographical point of view interspersed with lots of wit and charme.

Just started The Stand, which is also my first King. Liking it so far, picked it up because I heard it was one of the main influences for LOST.

I envy you. I read that book on a vacation a few years back, and it was so hard to put down. There's so many well defined characters. Sort of like IT, there's at least one character each reader can identify with. A lot of people consider THE STAND King's masterpiece, and while it's not my personal favorite, it's up there.

Just picked up the third book in the Elvenbane series. That's the collaboration between Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey. They take forever to get each book out, but they're good!

Just read Anathem by Neal Stephenson. Awesome book, though not his best. I loved, *loved* Snow Crash. Cryptonomicon was great. Didn't get into the Baroque Cycle series (read half of Quicksilver and wasn't interested enough to read the remaining 3000 pages.)

I was thinking of picking up King's newest book "Under the Dome", and building a house out of it. I don't think my truck will haul it though.

I'm reading "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt. Recommended by my girlfriend - who has read more books than some librarys have. It's pretty good.
