Bill Walsh passed away last year at age at seventy-five, leaving behind three Super Bowl victories and two college bowl championships at Standford University. Quite the Hall of Fame career, one would think, but as impressive as coaching Joe Montana to three rings may be, it pales in comparison to having your own Genesis game! Electronic Arts immortalized Walsh in gaming with the stellar and imaginatively named Bill Walsh College Football for multiple consoles. Great review, it just exudes enthusiasm. I have spent a little time with this game over the past several days and I'll list some likes and dislikes.
Likes:
I loved that fact that you could spike the ball to stop the clock.
I really didn't mind the Madden series too much so the gameplay was good.
Dislikes:
Sprites seem to be a little too big for the field.
The first game I played, I beat Ohio State with Michigan 34-10 so I'll say it was too easy.
I'll definitely pick this up again and play for the National Championship!

This was an EXCELLENT game. I remember it feeling slower than the later EA football games on the Genesis, but this was my first experience playing a Madden styled football game.
I loved throwing those hail mary passes.

Here is a way to win on offense nearly every time with the teams that have these plays:
Running Plays: Option Left, Option Right, Student Body Left, Student Body Right
Passing Plays: HB Toss and Pass, Cross Pass and Hail Mary
Those plays, when mixed correctly will provide a pretty high scoring offense.Sega-16's Resident Sports Authority. Chief Heckler of the Midwest.
