    Default Oh noes!

You know it's bad when I end up here asking for help.

My Genesis model 2 has seemed to have called it quits.

It shows the TMSS screen, but then that's it. It goes black and nothing. Tried all sorts of cartridges, even 32X fails.

Oddly though, Sega CD works fine.

    Ehh....................help?

And yes, I tried cleaning the connectors, they are clean as a brand new whistle.

Dead cartslot, bend the pins... or put something behind them, just like I have in my MD2. You can hold the system from cart (or even 32X and cart), shake it, and it won't crash...

you've been too rough on the cart slot

Like TmEE said, bend the pins forward, but be careful not to let each side touch one another or you'll lose Sega CD functionality. Some allow the pins to be bent by pushing on the top and they will pivot from the mounting point, but others have to be carefully hooked around and pulled forward. There's also the other option of just buying another model 2 sans cords for like $10 tops.
