    Default Modding a Mega CD

OK, to the point, I want to get my Mega CD modded for multi-region play and I don't know what to do.

Console Passions are the only UK site I know of which do the BIOS mod, but they want £40 plus postage to mod my MCD! I've used them twice with my other SEGA consoles, and I've had to wait weeks for them to send the items.

I know you can get the BIOS from a site delivered, but I what I want to know is this ~

"Should I go with Console Passions or should I do the mod myself?"

    ANY Help would be great!

Buy a Mega Cart instead. Check the stickied thread in this forum and the article posted on this site (written by me ).

Megacart is much nicer option, and its a total gem, worth every cent it costs. I personally would not bother region modding a MCD, it is total pain in the rear end.

Mega Cart is a easier (and cheaper?) way to get the same good versions of the Sega CD. Buy a Mega Cart instead of mod you Mega CD. I have Datel Pro CDX and that one sure works, but that one is pretty rare and a Mega Cart is cheaper.

    Cheers for that Zebbe!!

When it notes postage, is that for the US only or is they're universal rate?

What good imports are there for the Sega CD? For all the Saturn imports I own(several), I've never been caught up on the SCD import market.

Not many. It's mainly useful for us Europeans and Swedes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think there are loads of Japanese RPGs, but ...well, they're in Japanese.

Most of the Japanese games for the MCD are text/speech heavy RPGs/Adventure games.

As for playable imports, off the top of my head; Night Striker, Sengoku and Ninja Warriors. But those games are all pretty mediocre.
