Battle Squadron

Many Amiga fans consider this one of the best shooters ever made.
One dude even got offended when I told him how generic this is. Why? Where is the appeal?

I tried this on the Amiga and this version is far superior.

For starters, the music sounds 10 times better, and the explosions are satisfying.

Also, the underground levels in the genesis are made complicated by having floating barriers that you run into; not the case in the Amiga version.

Graphics are - to my surprise - far better on the Amiga.

I love this description.
It is indeed hard to enjoy a shooter wherein the enemies can fire at you after scrolling out the bottom of the screen, some enemies have cloaking, and there are giant coral type projections that overlay the screen--not translucent projections, opaque.

Still, I want to best this fucker so would somebody tell me how many stages there are? I want to know how many strokes of the lash.
