from atariage:I have an SMS and SMS2, both have games built in. Is it broken??Does anyone know if there were SMS consoles that did not include a built in game? The only reason I ask is because I have a power base that either doesn't have a BIOS intro screen (i.e. I turn it on with no cart in the slot) or it could be damaged and does not work properly. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Right, but if it goes up to no built-in game, is there a possible problem with the bios? or equivalent?

Neither of my SMS systems have a built in game unless you count the hidden maze game. Some SMS's have Hang on and Safari Hunt built in. I think all SMS2's have a built in game. Mostly Alex kid but I think the late ones might have had Sonic.

I dont think the SMS came with games built in unless you count the Snail Maze game, the SMS2 came with a choice if Alex The Kidd in Miracle World or Sonic The Hedgehog

The sms1 had games built in too. Theres a Hangon model, Safari Hunt and Hangon, Missile Defence 3D, and an Alex Kidd model.

My SMS1 doesn't have any of those games built in. Just Snail Maze.
