I just picked this up along with my Genesis! This and another Mickey Mouse game (Mickey Mania?) and they both feel like very, very solid Platformers.

I'd played this one when I was a kid and enjoyed it (never got close to beating it)... can't wait to go through it now.

solid game, a must for any light hearted person who enjoys solid controls
My GF is going to love it too!

I think only Revenge of Shinobi is better than this.
The Mega Drive was far inferior to the NES in terms of diffusion rate and sales in the Japanese market, though there were ardent Sega users. But in the US and Europe, we knew Sega could challenge Nintendo. We aimed at dominating those markets, hiring experienced staff for our overseas department in Japan, and revitalising Sega of America and the ailing Virgin group in Europe.

Then we set about developing killer games.

This game is awesome. I loved it when I was a kid. And for the time it came out I thought the graphics were pretty good.

That's World of Illusion you're thinking of. Castle of Illusion is only one player.

Still mystified by all the praise this game gets. It's OK, but there's a really cheap side to the gameplay that makes it frustrating (especially on Hard), and the lack of a run button gets annoying. World of Illusion may have a shorter shelf life (since it's very easy), but I enjoyed it more.
