About a week and a half ago, I sold my complete copy of Knuckles' Chaotix on eBay. The buyer just contacted me and stated
"i would like to return this game it does not work .it is not my device
bacuse all of my other games work please let me know about this
problem.
thank you"
Now usually, I would offer a refund straight out, but I know for sure that my copy of Chaotix worked perfectly fine before I shipped it out. I have two theories on this:
The cartridge is really dirty and the connectors just need to be cleaned.
or
The buyer didn't realize that the game was for the 32x and instead just got it thinking it was for the Genesis alone.
Now, I'm thinking it's actually the latter. I looked at the buyer's buying history, and he has bought ALL Genesis games, but no 32x games.
If it actually does end up being the problem, should I really allow him a refund? Isn't the buyer's responsibility to make sure the game will actually work before purchasing it? I suppose it isn't a huge concern to get it back, but it causes me to lose about 3 dollars in fees, and he may have abused my mint copy of it making it less valuable when I try and sell it again. I am not afraid of a negative feedback, so what do you guys think?
