I just beat the japanese version of Dynamite Headdy, didn't get all the secret bonus points but after many tries I have finally beat all the basket ball games and unlocked the secret level and then beat it. Dynamite Headdy is one of the, if not the best Sega Mega Drive/Genesis game ever made.
Easily one of my all-time favorite genesis games. I remember reading about it in gamepro, then seeing it pop up on sega channel. I instantly fell in love.
I like how hard it gets later on in the game. Easy and accessible early one, monsterously difficult later on. The perfect sort of difficulty curve. A lot of late-era genesis games seemed to have that awesome difficulty curve.
A retarded Sonic.
Easily one of the best platformers on the Genesis with a strange way of attacking your enemies. Headdy is a game that you can easily get into, it starts you off nice and easy then gradually starts getting tougher the further in you go. Very inventive stage design, mainly in using Headdy's....err head in getting to upper platforms, this one also has an excellent soundtrack. While I'm no fan of Treasure, this is the game they made that I took quite a liking to, so I recently picked up a loose cart I found game thrifting.
I will give this game a 10/10.
I spent hours on end trying to finish it, and when I did....dayyymmmn...whatta satisfying feeling.

Anybody else consider this foremost a run and gun? Something like Bionic Commando but with short range projectiles.
