They are trying hard with the straight of Hormuz nonsense. I'm sure it just a lot of sabre rattling but its also shaking the change out of my wallet a the pump. This shit is annoying.

Heheh, my wife and I watched 'Strange Days' last weekend for the first time since the 90s. The opening comment about gas being over $3.00 per gallon as some sort of "end times" evidence made us both laugh.

Lets take a trip back to 2008. Think about one of the biggest reasons we were given why he should have been elected. His color. He is bi-racial but electing the first "African-American" to office was mentioned over and over and over again. Making "history" was more important then a proper direction of our country. Whether one likes or dislikes Obama, many red flags should have been raised and taken into proper consideration before a vote was cast. His past/current associations were alarming. He was extremely secretive with certain records. Lacking experience needed for the job was alarming. The sheer amount of promises he made on the campaign trail showed his inexperience and naivety.

Even today, three years after inauguration, people continue to make excuses for this man. Bush was crucified by Pelosi and her caucus for increasing gas prices yet we don't hear a damn thing now that gas is almost 100% greater today then on inauguration day 2009. Regardless of one's opinion on this man, be fair.

Did you forget his super majority for his first 2 years or so in office? Blame the Republicans all you want but not everyone wants all of his crap forced down our throats (obamacare as one example).

I'm not saying Obamacare was perfect but this medical system needed to be overhauled. And Bush could've done it but he was to busy fighting 2 wars on our credit cards. As for the gas prices you do remember we were getting hit with 5 dollar a gallon with Bush at one point. But one reason why Obama was able to win is because of the job that Bush did. There were people out there comparing McCain to Bush when in realty the 2 could'nt have been further apart.

The individual problems with our healthcare system should have been addressed properly instead of what Obama has forced down everyone's throats with the threat of fines. All it would take is a dose of common sense but I know that is in extremely shorty supply in both the White House and Congress. Should we list the problems with Obamacare? More people added to the rolls with less doctors yet we will save money?

Gasoline? Today is February 17th and the average price for a gallon of regular is almost $4.00. If this trend continues, imagine the price around Memorial Day and during the summer months. Bush was raked over the coals every chance the media had when it came to gas yet we hear crickets when it comes to the same media blaming our current president for the increasing prices. Gasoline has increased almost 100% since he came into office yet very little (if anything) is said by the Liberal media here in the states.

Don't get hung up on gas prices as it is just an example to show the obvious hypocrisy exhibited by both our President and the Liberal Media.

I get on hung up on in the practical sense of it. It hurts me. I'm already living on a small margin. I'm lucky to get $2000 a month out of my little petty living. When prices go up a because of inflation, Iran making noise or some economist sees a scary comet flying the sky I can't help but to get a little annoyed.

Has anyone noticed everything else going up in price steadily in the last few years? I know there is inflation etc but I think business is using it as an excuse in many cases. Its like they keep trying to squeeze and squeeze but there is nothing left to squeeze.

Just one small example. Over a period of about three years suddenly there are no more $40 car batteries . Now they are $80 no matter where you go with a $15 core charge instead of $5. Did the price of lead suddenly go through the roof? I recycle my scrap metal and I can say no.

You make $2000 a month? That's a lot of money where I'm from.

Much like when Reagan asked the American people if they were better today under Carter then they were before his presidency, the same question holds true under our current President. Many things have increased in price rather substantially since January of 2009. Certain commodities are high and on the rise. My electric bill has skyrocketed during this administration. If the President is given credit when things are going well, he needs to also accept responsibility when the opposite is true.

I don't know about the rest of the nation, but in the past few years, starting even before the recession, the price of food here in the south east has sky rocketed.

I'm going to whine about you having ten times my internet speed, up and down, while paying less than I do too!

As far as I can tell $2000 a month is bare minimum survival for anybody who wants to eat more than roman noodles every day, has a housing payment with utilities, and a phone. And yeah, everything has gone up in price around here. I can't even get quicken to make me a realistic budget because of groceries alone.

The cost of housing must be different where you're from. Most decent sized houses here cost about $600 a month rent, I don't know how much you have to pay down there.
